ceilidh - 2010-03-26 9:44 AM Anne, did you bring your bike with you to work today? If you didn't, are you going to have separation anxiety?

I did not

I do keep going back to the pictures of her on page 16, and on my phone though. The lighting was bad in those shots. I'll have to see if I can do better over the weekend.

I've thought if putting my camera on the road on a tripod and setting the timer. Maybe. Depends on the weather.

Next weekend may be better for that, should be back near 70 again. Tomorrow is in the low 40's and possibly snow.

Okay, next week it is. Unless you could put up a mural behind the trainer. Say, of the Tour de France?

ceilidh - 2010-03-26 9:43 AM I just got pressured (sort of) into being part of a wellness challenge in the "office". We are doing a virtual walk to San Diego. I signed up because I know of a place to stay there!
Tom, I'll be there by the end of April. In the mean time, send that mango mater recipe!

Sounds like fun!  Can I ride there? - LOL

I've seen the virtual trackers. I've thought of setting one up. Of course I'd rather go to SD and meet Tom in person. I'm pretty sure I've promised him beer and wings sometime.

If I go out to Phoenix next January I am making the drive to see him.

Anyone want to run a full or half marathon next January in Phoenix with me?

Let's see if this works. I have no idea why they chose this route. I am just walking it.

Good morning Kim.

Did you skim the part where I'm trying to guilt everyone into running in Phoenix with me next January?

Ok had a bad/good start to the day.  Bad because I had to go to the PO to pick up a package from my accountant that had $2.85 postage due.  Grrrrr.  Good, because I only owe the state a couple hundred dollars and the feds are refunding me enough to pay for the Mac notebook I've been eyeballing.

I think maybe I was posting or reading another thread.  Phoenix???  I am always good for a trip to Phoenix.  As for running, that will depend if I run NYC in November.  But, I am happy to sherpa.  I know just where to play for 4 hours while you guys run.  Or if NYC doesn't play out, maybe I'll just have to run instead of play.  I LOVE Phoenix.

Good news Ghoulies!

Last fall I ordered a pair of running shoes from Road Runner sports. One of the shoes had something in the front of it that rubbed my one toe. I called them and they said to send  them back defective and they'd refund my money. I went ahead and ordered another pair and just figured the refund would cover it. I never sent them back.

I was cleaning out my closet recently and found them. I wrote a note saying what had happened, about me forgetting about them. Told them I completely understood if it was too late to send them back, but if I could I'd like to exchange them for the Brooks I'm running in now.

I just got an email that my new pair of Brooks shoes are on their way!!! WOOHOO!!!

I was there for the first time in January and I LOVED the area AND the race. If I can swing it I really want to go back.

Plus I need something to focus on to keep me moving.

I used to have a BMW, car that is, but the service here was terrible.  And driving in the snow was like riding a German Bobsled.  When it finally needed to be replaced I went to Infiniti.   It doesn't handle anything like the BMW but it is plush and grinds through snow pretty well for a sedan.

And I've never had a MAC but am excited about making the switch.

PS, I like THOSE people.  My finance person at work rides a Ducati.  She's about 5'4' and teeny.  It's a hoot watching her fly into the parking lot on nice mornings in her white leathers.

That's not the first time I've heard of that happening.

Maybe you should go out and do some grocery shopping so we have food to eat after the ride on Sunday.

Hey everyone - What should Robin put on her grocery list for after the ride?

Oreos - double stuff please
Chocolate milk
Some sort of meat to throw on the grill
Alcohol

What else?
