LRR - good luck!  Prayers your way!

Diane - oh yeah, you need a fan and towels on the floor for his workouts.  I did the whole thing last time and its a great plan but it will fry your legs.  I ended up with towels on the floor and one on the bike.  It made a huge difference for me, I am going to use it for NOLA inconjunction with a bunch of 3 hr rides.

Good morning all, just finished my Saturday morning 5K, the Petal YMCA Halloween Hustle.  Finished in a new personal record, 21:34, second in my age group.  First place was an ex major league picture (41 years) old.  Shouldn't there be a category for professionals so I could win something?

Billy - congrats on the 2nd place!  Thats great!

Feel pretty good today and may ride or run tonight.  Working on RR but I don't have my official bike time just my Garmin time.  Spent the rest of the weekend driving back and forth from sons soccer tourney (about1.5 hrs from here).  Wife is out of town so had to come home to feed animals, etc.

Finish lines added....

Last long ride today....HELLO TAPER.....smile

Rode the LiveStrong ride....3000 riders raised over $3.1million US dollars....amazing.  Patrick Dempsey from Grey's Anatomy and Lance rode with us.  Saw Dempsey....just saw Lance on the stage....Levi Leipheimer also rode with us....saw him too...on stage and then after ride...he turns 37 today for those keeping score....they had a cake for him.  It was a crazy ride with a LOT of amateurs - a million cattle guards (for those of you from the North country I will explain someday but just say your mommy/daddy button is unhappy when you roll over one)....there was also a low water crossing where you had to dismount and wade thru the water...the roadway was VERY slippery - many people went down....in a splash....wet feet to continue the ride after the wading episode.....about a 1/2 mile of dirt road - it was packed but it was still dirt....I was amazed....there were a couple of wicked turns and stops but I got thru it.  I don't think I will ever ride this one again...it was scary at times with all the people.  A lot of non-cyclists do this ride since it is with Lance and it is for cancer....I am all for fighting cancer I just don't want to be taken out by someone on their first group ride.

As soon as I know my Florida details I will let you all know....it's gonna be a LONG day for Bryan......just sayin'

Just swinging by.  Found out that I was 3rd in the Aquabike division out of 8 and 1st in my AG for Aquabike (only me in my division but still a 1st place!!! LOL!).

LRR - yep, quite familar with cattle crossings.  Dangerous stuff but probably not as dangerous as folks out for their first group rides.

LRR and Mav you two will rock!!!

Well over did it yesterday on my swim and today my shoulder/neck muscles on my right side are killing me.  A few ibuprofen and its down to a low roar.  Halloween celebrations at work and school today.  My DD dressed up as a veterinarian (like her mom) and looked so grown up it was scary.  Don't want my kids to grow up quite yet.  DS was going to take the winter off from soccer but the boys on the middle school team convinced him to play, 8 more weeks of soccer.

Didn't get a costume together so I am going as the Project manager from H$ll.  I told anyone if they truely wanted to be scared I could start assigning more work.  So far I think my costume is winning ; />.  If my body holds together going for a ride this afternoon.

Plus I will get to cheer Bryan on and sign up for IMFL 2011!

Stopping in to say hello, even though I have very little training to report on

Went to the Triathlon New Brunswick end of year banquet last night. Guest speaker was Lisa Bentley, a Canadian tri professional and multi-Ironman champion. She competes even though she has CF - Cystic Fibrosis. Very impressive.

Guess what the door prize was? A FELT tri bike. Had about a 1:100 chance of winning but sadly didn't. Karma though - won by the lady who is volunteer head official at almost every race in the province. Now that is how you show appreciation to volunteers! Sat between two people who have both raced Kona - yikes.

In honour (or should I say honor) of you my friends who are racing at IM FL this coming weekend, I have decided that I will fly the Stars and Stripes from the flagpole in front of my house on your raceday!! It'll be up in time for race start and I  won't take it down until you're finished.

OK - some humour. Today is of course Halloween so our priest last week asked all the kids to wear their costumes to mass today for a special blessing. Several of us in the choir decided to also be in costume. I dressed as a hockey referee but when I went forward part way through mass to sing the psalm, I has slipped on a pair of dark glasses and carried a white cane, Should have heard the laughter!!The pope may not have approved but I bet God was smilin'!!

Mav - I had thought you were doing IM FL so was surprised to see your post. Read back through older posts to find info and now realize you're doing IM AZ . Of course, it would have been super-cool if you were live blogging or tweeting from IM FL!

First bike split is now up. Just over 15 m.

Go B-man Go.
