I am about delirious at that moment and it takes me a bit to realize it is IRONAMY - OUR IRON AMY. She was at the finish line and had yelled at me on the run course. Honestly I had no idea who you were on the run - I am so sorry. Thanks for finding me so we could meet. How long did you have to wait in line to sign up? Ummmm....I think I liked hot chick much better!! What's wrong with being a hot chick?? LOL I didn't have to wait long in line to sign up. My brother didn't get to make the trip to FL with me. His wife's grandma died. So I talked one of my besties into going with me. We cheered my friend Phil on...well we also cheered lots of people on...even Bryan but he didn't even know who I was!! LOL Anyway we had a great time!! We couldn't tear ourselves away from the beach the next day...so we stayed a long time..then drove home...all night...we each got approx 1 hr of sleep and went to school...ahhhhh...now that was interesting!! But we made it through the day! I had a great time volunteering! And.....my friend was even inspired and she is now signed up to run the mini in May...let's see if she still loves me after she starts training!! LOL |

In some parts of the country (like here in New Brunswick where I live) it is a statutory holiday but not in all provinces. My family and I will be heading downtown to the cenotaph for the service. For the past ten days we have been wearing red poppies as an outward sign of remembrance. Encourage you to have a look at this video. Decided the booties were good with the 62 degree water. Swim gloves and hood would be good. They were all out of gloves and the hood I got was too small. Modified it and hopefully will work. Road this morning, cold and windy. 21mph heading out and 15 coming back. About to go drop off the bikes. We ended up renting a beautiful place with a great view. |

The swim was cold, choppy and no incoming tide for those doing the full. Half group started 1.5 hrs later and got the full benefit. We ended up swimming against the tide. I swam around a 1:32 which is fine for me. But was freezing and it killed my bike time. RR in a couple of days, heading home tomorrow. Diane - good luck on your ride! |

Happy about finishing, my ego always pushes me a little when I don't place well but my goal was to finish and I did. Mission accomplished! On a training break until December where I will start training for NOLA 70.3. Billy - great trip, you are a fantastic person and I hope you got home safe and sound (well I am not sure you were sound before hand so just go with it :>  Diane - how was the 200 mile ride? Thanks for the support folks, was cool to see. |

I rode one loop of the bike on Tues and yesterday we swam in a Lake North of Tempe ( they wont let you swim here until Sat)Going to ride another loop today and go to atrhlete check in. I am feeling pretty good...anxious to get this party started. |

Hmmm, Redman Full is only 10 hrs from my house, 3 hrs from my inlaws. Wetsuit legal, seems to be somewhat flat. In September, will be hot but I can train for that.......Just need to talk the DW into it. Anyone do Redman before? |

I had kind of a rough day with bike technical difficulties...I wont bore you with the details but I had a major melt down. This evening I went to the athletes dinner with some friends. Got a txt from Bryan to go to the welcome sign ...and there he was!!! I was SO suprised. This is going to make my day so special. I am so thankful to have such wonderful BT friends. I will carry all of your spirits with me on race day. Thanks for being there!!!! |

Just making sure  SUCH a nice surprise, Bryan! wow! Nicely done. As for me.... i had a wisdom tooth extracted a week ago, and i'm still in pain! SEVEN freaking days, and I'm still taking Vicodin and Ibuprofen. Unbelievable.. getting better, but so slow. Lost a whole week-workouts, yard work, just being functional. Can't wait to get back to normal. |
