Can someone help me?

I have the race report link in my log but when I click on it, it just goes to the forum main page. When I click on the search for an event and enter the name it doens't come up but I am asuming it must be somewhere if it came up automatically on my log??

Michelle,

I think this should work.  On top of any page, click on the "races" box with the flag .  Then on the right side of the page, click on the "your race log".  Once there you should see a list of all your races.  Just click on "edit" next to whatever race you want to add your race report to.  Just make sure to "save" once your done.

On the bottom of the page that lists all your races, there is a drop down menu/box where you can have it transfer your race times and distances into your workout log for you.  That way you don't have to manually enter your info twice for your races.

You also need to make your race public, that's why it keeps going back to the forums.  Follow Tim's suggestion where you find your list of races and hit the Edit button for that race.  Start filling out your info and hit Save.

I think it's at that point some red text will pop up and ask you if you want to make your report public and that once you do, you can't make it private.  Hit OK or Save or whatever it asks.  Then, in your Training Log, try clicking on it again and see if it takes you to the report.

Yeah, and to get your results plugged in to that day in your Training Log, just do what Tim said.

Good luck!

I guess I'm just asking for it.  I've got my big TV on NBC to catch my national results.  I've got a second TV tuned in to the local cable access channel for the local results.  I've got a radio station streaming on my internet to catch a statewide show in West Virginia for their results (long story)and I'm surfing the news pages themselves on the net.

I got bit by the political bug as a kid and, though all of this coverage the last 2 years is annoying beyond definition, this is the night that gives us political junkies the biggest high.

I'm just glad it's over!

I'm more glad that US politics is seeming to affect Canada less these days.

So if you're part of the 55% who liked the president elect... good for you.
The other 45% should realize that 62% of canadians didn't like the elected prime minister.

Now that you're happy/unhappy... there are 48 more months to start enjoying whatever life you can't control.

Now that politics seems fallable... concentrate on your training.

Happy training everyone!

Hey, guys.  There's a really neat challenge in the "Triathlon Talk" forum totally focused on being a better biker.  A lot of people are jumping on this and I think it'll be a great way to learn more about our biking obstacles.  Plus, it'll dovetail nicely with our current challenge.  Here's the link...

You know what?? Seeing that challenge just makes me realize that I'm ready to retire from timed endurance sports. It's been a good year... good luck with all your training, and I know you will have amazing results next year. It's time for me to enjoy my sports. Take it easy.

haha toni, I like how you changed the groups name to Lora.  So did Greg hit the wall?  I know he's been under a lot of stress at work.  Well, I know I really enjoy this stuff.  I don't believe I'll ever be as hard core as a lot of people are.  I enjoy the workouts and staying or getting in better shape.  Maybe we can open the group up and see about getting new people to join this year.

I agree some new people would be good. Perhaps next month we could put a challenge like the one we have this month on the forum, all sign up for it and see what happens from there?

Greg:  Noooooooooooooooooo-ah!  Well, if that didn't change your mind, I don't know what else will.

In all seriousness, I don't know your situation, but we are sad to see you go.  If it's just gotten to be too much, then it sounds like switching gears may be what you need.  I was in a rut several years ago and I just couldn't get out.  A friend firmly, but wisely, told me, "Go what you have to go through until you get sick of it."  He was right.  It sounds like you just got to that point.

We all wish you our very best and our deepest gratitude for taking us on this year.  We've really appreciated your support.

For the record I didn't change it to lora's group on purpose. It was weird, I replied to the forum and when I hit the submit button it said lora's group!  Sorry about that Greg..it was not intentional. And ditto for me as well..I hope all is well with you!

Sorry Toni, didn't notice until after I posted that last time...I think Greg changed it b/c our group name at the very top is now that.  I think when you hit reply it just put that new name in the subject line.  Good luck , Greg.

So how is everyone doing on their monthly goals? Here is what I have remaining to achieve the IM training goal:

474 yds swim

53 miles bike

14 miles running

I intend to kncok out the swim tomorrow, and I plan on running 6 miles tomorrow, but if it rains, I will trainer ride another 30!

let me know if anyone needs me to hound them on their goals and I will light them up in their inspires!!  (loving encouragement only of course!)

WOW!  You are doing awesome, James!  I mean really.

I knocked out half of my biking while the weather was warm last week.  My swim (or strength training for me) is about right on target.  One hour down, four more to go.

I'm having a little trouble getting motivated to run.  All I've done so far is dog walk.  You know what, I was going to run later on, but I think I'm just going to head back out the door right now since I've got on my gear after the dog walk.  Reporting no real running on here just motivated me.  Hmm, you motivated me and didn't even know it.

Well, I just ran 2 miles.  First run of the month and it felt good to be out there.  The hardest part is just stepping out the door.

I'll have all of my swimming and running knocked over this week. The bike is a struggle as I knew it would be but I think I'll go close by the end of the month.

Awesome job, Michelle!  At least after this week you'll know which event on which to really focus.
