Look at Ryan's avatar.

Go for it, but I gotta warn the ladies (and 2goggs), you might get aroused.

Yeah...not so much. Goggs' puppy is better looking.

Amen to that. You want I should put up a picture of beautiful me?
Naw, Nela makes me smile   You're not so bad yourself though, all that half-Asian hotness - I mean, you're better than Ryan...though ANYONE is better than Ryan

"Women cannot go to Mars because they would not be able to have children because of the radiation exposure over the time it would take to get there."

Damage the cells that produce sperm, and what happens?

Like drunk frat boys at a bar, they keep coming back no matter how many times you shoot them down.

Have any of you ever seen an ICBM?  Or even a small-scale tactical warhead?

There's no WAY one of those is fitting up anyone's privates.  Never mind the blast radius sorta makes it a non-issue anyway.

cells aren't damaged as much as the sperm and eggs are.. sperm are continuously being replaced.. the eggs a woman is born with is all she has.. so if they are damaged thats it...

Perhaps, but over the months that one would have to spend in space, something's bound to happen.

There's also the aspect that tying someone's ability to do a job to their future reproductive capabilities is inherently distasteful. Let people make up their minds. Maybe i'd rather go to Mars than spawn. Shouldn't that be up to me, assuming i can meet all job requirements?

i think that if the amount of rad exposure were that high they wouldn't let a woman stay on the ISS for month at a time..... or anyone for that fact.... the amount required is pretty significant dose... if we gave that amount whole body it would kill you...
