Expert 1797 CHARLOTTESVILLE, Virginia | Subject: RE: Sesh's Group - FULL! Greetings Everyone - Just returned from sunny FL. HA HA Actually it was cold and grey - who poked Mother Nature with a sharp stick. Of course, it was still warmer there than the 20s here in DC. I only have a long run Sunday- 8 miles (may move to Sat b/c of weather) then Monday is the big day. I start my HIM plan. I plan on getting a good start w/ Mon and Tues off from work - I love working in DC during inaguration years. We live about 5 min from the city and I plan on going nowhere w/ all of the people rolling into town. I survived the vacation w/ the kids and squeezed in 3 runs and 2 sets of pushups and situps. Not to mention the hours of walking and chasing after kids. So all in all I'm happy w/ what I did. Well hubby is kicking me off the laptop so hope everyone has a nice weekend! |

It is still really cold here, but I went out and did my run. I almost bagged it, but now that it's done I'm glad I did. I was really dragging today, but I'm much more awake now. |

My bed was soooo warm this morning...I didn't make it to spin class. The day isn't done yet...I'll try to swing by the Y later this evening. |

Expert 1797 CHARLOTTESVILLE, Virginia | Subject: RE: Sesh's Group - FULL! I dragged myself through my run today. It was the slowest I've run in a long, long time. My legs are already sore. Guess I shouldn't have hit the killer hill route for my long (8 mile) run. Oh well - live and learn. Hope everyone is toasty and warm. Part of my run was alond the C&O Canal and there were people ice skating on it. I thought they were crazy but it has been really cold here. Just checked the county pool website to see if they were closed for MLK Day. No luck - they are open so I will have to start my swimming tomorrow. UGH!!! Go Ravens! I'm a Redskins fan but like to root for the Ravens when they are still in it. And anybody who beats the Steelers makes my husband happy. :-) |

It will be so nice to not have to climb to get through the garage. It has been a storage nightmare for far too long. Plus we just acquired a surplus bed and couch. Stuff has got to go. (oooh, bad english) |

Master 1734 On a lake in the Adirondacks in NY | Subject: RE: Sesh's Group - FULL! Melissa, you've been busy on your day off! Want to come clean out my garage? I am having a rough day. I woke up with a headache and, since I was the only one who had to get up, went back to sleep until it was time to go to work. No workout for me this morning. Now it's almost 7 and I'm still at work. I might be going for a run very late tonight. BTW, do my 14 min. miles actually count as "runs"? I think I was going faster when I was walking part. Really kills me when my daughter looks over my shoulder while I'm logging a run and says "wow, that's really slow". Like I didn't know that! |

Expert 1797 CHARLOTTESVILLE, Virginia | Subject: RE: Sesh's Group - FULL! Hey don't worry about speed - getting out there and doing it is what matters. I finished my first training day. 32 min. run and 40 min. swim. I got in 1400m on the swim although the workout was for 2500m. LOL Like I can swim that distance in that time. But hey I got myself in the pool and it wasn't so bad. I was tempted to bag the swim - when I ran up to my usual pool, I found out it was closed b/c the pump blew. So I had to run back home then drive to another pool later in the day.

None of the fun, stress relieving type things. None of the school related things. At least I dilly dallied this morning and cleaned my room instead of heading straight to my parents house. It will be nice to not arrive home to a mess. |

Overall it was a success, minus the one completely ruined bathroom rug. |

Master 1734 On a lake in the Adirondacks in NY | Subject: RE: Sesh's Group - FULL! I went out and did my run last night, then used the route mapping thing instead of my pedometer to figure out the distance. The route map says my run was 1/2 mile longer than my pedometer was saying. So I'm not running as slow as I thought I was. I guess I need to recheck the settings on the pedometer! I hope everyone is having a good day so far. |

Edit - because that's what I would have done.

Heh... now that's a good idea I washed it, and like the three others, I put it in the dryer. Ended up with half a dryer full of fuzzies and half a bath mat. Ooops. |

Extreme Veteran 378 Seattle | Subject: RE: Sesh's Group - FULL! I had my weekly weigh-in yesterday and I'm down another 2 lbs so maybe I'm doing something right. I feel really stupid for not paying more attention to nutrition before. I still struggle with it but I'm definitely getting a lot better than I was about eating. I had to take an unplanned day off from working out yesterday because I was sore all over after playing basketball for 4 hours on Sunday (I logged it as 2 hrs because I figured that's how long I was actually on the court playing). I hate missing workouts because I feel so guilty but I'm glad I did now because I feel a lot better and looking forward to a ride tonight. Maybe I will put in an easy run on my planned day off (Friday) to make up for it. Have a good week everyone.

Isn't that what put Macca out of Kona last year? That sucks. Is it an easy fix? |
