Got in just over 6 miles this morning. Wasn't sure I would even get in two miles at first, but once I got warmed up it turned out to be a great run. I love exploring our downtown area and on a lovely Sunday morning it was just perfect!

blujay65 - 2009-06-07 5:46 AM I am off to do an easy run this morning. Getting excited about my half next week. My very first! Will probably just run a few easy times during the week.

Got in a nice OWS last evening. It was so hot, 90* and pure sunshine. After being at the track meet all day the lake felt exceptionally nice!

Whooohoooo!! That is SO exciting!! I'm 8 weeks out from my first - but I'm enjoying the process!

I have a 90 minute run this morning ... but I'll write some report cards and drink a bunch of coffee first.

Congrats to you too! I never thought in a million years that I would be doing this! Isn't it amazing what we can do when we put our minds, souls and hearts into it?! Have a good run later!

I know - it's incredible!  I thought I was just a little bit nuts when I signed up for Steelhead in January.  Now I'm looking forward to the experience - I'm on track with training and feeling really good about it all.

I'm waiting for my aspirin to kick in... I walked in flip-flops yesterday for a couple hours and now I'm paying for it.  I need new sandals for the summer - ones with support in them!

I got a 3 mile run in this morning.  Still a little warm, but I was better prepared for it.

Done my 90 minutes!

ETA: Quick question - when I input my information - it doesn't update the percentage column.  Am I doing something wrong?

No... Google does strange things sometimes. You put a calculation in, come back later and find it gone...

Every week, when I do the updates, I verify that the calculation formulas are OK. So I just fixed them now.

You're at 22.7%, which is right on track to finish at 100% of your goal by the end of the month.

And now... The Weekly Team Standings for the June Challenge.....

1st place - Taser Running - 21.1%
2nd place - Team Trifecta - 18.3%
3rd place - June Bugs - 15.4%

BUT it looks like three people on the June Bugs team have zeros on the spreadsheet: colesdad, victoria.petridou, pilotncommand172.

(Jen, did you want to check their blogs? You can borrow my taser if you'd like. )

Once these people update the spreadsheet, who KNOWS what the results will be! Will Team June Bugs remain in 3rd place, move up to 2nd, or even take over 1st????

Stay tuned. The month is only 23% completed. The second update will be posted next week.

Stay motivated! Keep running! (And don't forget the secondary challenge: the POST PADDING challenge!)

- Dee

Congrats Lynne!!! That's great!

As for me I ran 4.73 miles today as part of a fleet feet historic run.  It is so hard to start and stop so much and my left foot was bothering me...oh well it was a lot of fun!

LOL I've been sending this exact picture to the people I work with all week telling them that I would like some chocolate cake and somebody actually broke down and bought one on Thursday. Yum!

I got my long(ish) run in today...just under  12 km. I could have made it an even 12 but the hill to my house is a killer at the end of a long run so I usually use it as my cool down.
Keep up the good work team.
