kns57 - 2009-08-25 12:28 PM Frank and I are running a tennis Round Robin on Friday night to raise money for the 2-Day walk for Breast Cancer.  When we planned this, he was supposed to be in town this week.  And guess what?  He is now in Denver.  Will be back late Thursday night, so I get to get everything ready all by myself.  So far we have 25 people signed up.  If we can get about 40 people then we should make about $600 for the 2-Day.  I'll be stressed between now and then, but I know that Friday we will have lots of fun.

I LOVED the show.... so cheesy and wrong and cute all at the same time!

As for 'the guy' - this is the one I went ice skating with on holidays about 5 weeks ago.. seen him a since then... started once a week for a couple of weeks.. ice skating, movie, drive in...... dinner out.... and then last week he helped me with my review and such...

Then.... last weekend I went out West and meet a couple of his friends... and yeah we caught up last night....

Oh... and theres a chance Im meeting his parents this weekend..

Wow, meeting the parents already.  Cool.  Frank and I went from dating to engaged in less than 3 weeks.  We have now been happily married for 27 years and going strong.  So, enjoy "the guy" and see where life takes you.

Yeah its funny - we were talking about it... we seem to have these big conversations that are a mixture of light stuff and serious stuff....

Kind of like determining all the relationships stuff upfront so we are both going in with the same understandings etc

Its really really different from what Ive had in the past but really good too... dont get me wrong its a lot of fun too but its like weve both gone into it as a longer term thing from the beginning... not sure whats different with this relationship compared to what Ive had in the past... but it just is...

Am I making sense?

Im optimistic right now... he is great company, a lot of fun, been awesome to me and it kind of feels like we are both jumping off the cliff together

Artemis - 2009-08-28 9:12 AM My endocrinology appointment got moved from October 19th to tomorrow!  I've never been excited about going to a doctor before.  I really hope that I get some answers.

Artemis - 2009-08-28 1:21 PM I had my appointment today.  He went over my whole history with me in person, rather than filling out a bunch of forms.  Asked a lot of questions that were different from the other docs.  Checked my thyroid, heart, lungs, joints, etc.   He said that my thyroid tests do seem ok, but he rechecked the labs anyway.  Also checked me for some other endocrine problems.  He has some good ideas about how to treat, so that's good.

I have a follow-up appointment in 2 weeks.

Its been a LONG time since i did the dating thing... and when I have gotten into relationships Ive generally fallen into them rather than anything like this... so Im still figuring it all out!

 

 

kns57 - 2009-08-28 2:46 PM Okay, I'm running the tennis round robin fundraiser tonight for the Atlanta 2-Day breast cancer walk and it has been raining like crazy this morning.  It has finally stopped, so now I'm hoping that everything dries out in the next 3 hours.  Think dry thoughts for GA tonight.
