Holy Moley! and I am trying to HTFU to run in 45 degrees.
I am indeed a wuss.
You are indeed a Machine!

Robin - they would shut your whole state down if that temp was even forecasted.  Then again they just might throw the forecaster in the crazy bin for even suggesting it might get that cold in NC!

I would certainly hope they would shut it down!!! There is a reason I live here, after all.

ceilidh - 2009-12-07 9:57 AM Now that it is Monday, I am feeling better. Lost a whole weekend (plus a good bit of last week). I am going to try to get out and get a run in at lunch to test the system out. Hopefully I am back. I feel like I am turning into a lazy bum.

glad your feeling better, ROBIN.

take it slow and let us know how your run goes....

it looks like a totally CRAPTASTIC DAY - rain, cold, wind - just how i want em.  NICE AND CRAPTASTIC.

my HTFU reward was a tanning session at the local tanning salon.

i always get there 19.95 unlimited tanning sessions for 30 days special right before my husband company christmas party.

Oh geez.  Reminds me of the time my brother got a hold of the electric hedge trimmers and told me to touch the moving blade because it wasn't sharp.  Yeah, I was gullible.

My brother was so upset the first time I was finally able to kick his a$$.  I've got some good pictures of him getting whooped up on during a little brawl we had in our living room last year.

Gee, I got off light. My big bro just held me by my feet and hit  my head into the floor! No knives or hedge clippers.
He can still pound if he could catch me, good thing I am quicker!

iowagander - 2009-12-06 6:12 PM Hey Ghoulies! 8.4 miles in the books this afternoon! My longest run ever (by almost 2 miles) and although the legs were a bit heavy after yesterday's pace work, I still had enough for a victory lap around the neighborhood after my 2-loop run.

Oh and Bill, Kim, THANKS for the brinner idea. Pancakes with peanut butter sounds about as close to heaven as can be right now.

8.4 mil....LONGEST RUN EVER....TOM.  YOU ROCK!!!  way to go!

how were the pancakes?

Well, despite his assurances I was still pretty hesitant to touch it so it only sliced the tip of my finger pretty good.  I still have a small scar.

Have I ever mentioned I hate Mondays? My 23 mile commute this morning took TWO HOURS. Now, I have to turn right back around to get home in time to get my wife to her doctor. The fun part about that is that this doctor isn't even in the same AREA CODE as us. Argh. This afternoon will be a really good ST session I think...
