You guys rocked the posting last night! After running, I had to run out of here to get my daughter to dance class, run to the library, pick up daughter, make dinner... and then my husband came home and sucked me into a long conversation about quitting our jobs and buy an apple farm. Needless to say, I didn't get on BT last night... Niagara County area????? Or you could do grapes in the southern tier No, but I'd love to be out that way. This is an apple farm in Watkins Glen that my DH and FIL talked about buying a couple years ago but the guy backed out because he wasn't ready to retire quite yet. The farm is right on the Seneca Lake wine trail. Which is a good thing (for U-pick traffic ). And not so good, because I really like the Seneca Lake wine trail and I might be off doing that all the time instead of helping on the farm. Nice - that is an awesome area. go for it is my motto! You can always go back to work but I doubt you would need to! Everyone loves apples!!! It really is a great area. I went to college there and just love it. My inlaws live there, which has it's advantages and disadvantages... Basically, both my DH and I have desk jobs that we dislike. And this is something he would really enjoy. I have no idea what I'd rather be doing, but this seems as interesting as anything else I could do! Really, the decision is going to be in the details... |
