Kim has been hanging around in her underoos. Tom is hanging around in his underoos. Tom, you aren't in NJ are you?
Politician answer time (no offense Mr. Proctor!): I can neither confirm or deny the falsitude or certitude of that particular statement at this time. Nice! |

So, I just fed her breakfast and now I'm eating breakfast and drinking coffee. In my undies. I think we have a new Ghoulie Style "Challenge" sport. My cats insist on breakfast at 6am everyday no matter what day it is. Who needs an alarm clock? I've got one I don't need but never fail to set. |

The bike course will pass within about 200 feet of my front door, and the local Olympic Training Center is at about the half-way mark of the run. Frankly, I'm not very comfortable with the idea of a 1500M swim, but I need something to work toward. I think I need to go to the LBS today and talk with the guys... Tom, that race looks awesome. I'd do it in a heartbeat and I'm sure you could do the 1500m swim. You've got 4 months to get there, you can do it. |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: The Ghoulies are swimmin' like the fishies in June!!! ironannekidd - 2011-06-08 5:05 AM In case you guys haven't figured it out yet, there is never a dull moment around my house. My son is 11. In a lot of ways, he is me. In a few ways, he is also his father. He is a 70 year old man trapped in an 11 year olds body (my husband is not 70, just wanted to make that clear). He is afraid to try new things. I think he lacks self confidence. He has been bullied at school. All of those sorts of not so good things. There is a Jiu Jitsu school about 25 minutes from our house. I looked them up online, emailed the people there, and took him for a free introductory class. Along with the Jiu Jitsu, they teach self confidence, teamwork, how to deal with peer pressure, how to deal with bullies, all of that GOOD stuff. I knew he was scared to go, but I took him, and I was really hoping he would like it. For days I've been saying to him to just give it a chance. He only had to do it for the summer, then when soccer starts up if he wanted to quit he could. We went last night. The people were very friendly. They even gave him a gi to wear for class. HE DID GREAT! I was so excited while I was sitting there watching him. I knew he was enjoying it. I didn't even get to ask him, as soon as he was done he told me he wanted to come back so I registered him before we left. I really think this will do good things for him. I'll try to get some pictures to post sometime. I am a bit worried though. A few more classes and I'm going to be in real trouble when we wrestle! Ann, that is awesome. I hope it does wonders for his self confidence. |

OK, you goons have gone and made me excited about this thing. Now I just need to figure out how the hell I'm gonna pay for all the crap I'll need to buy. Stupid expensive sport... I LOVE the idea of coming out east this winter for a running event, but I just don't know if I can make it work with everything I've got at home. However, I know some of you are in moderately close proximity to DC so if I ever go there for work (which will possibly happen sometime between now and December) I'll let you all know so we could try to do at least a Ghoulunch or something.
Tom, you need to schedule a trip the end of October and join us for the Marine Corp 1/2 mary and 10K. But then again, you have kids and trick or treating is that day and I guess they would take priority over Ghoulies. We know how important family is. Oh well. |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: The Ghoulies are swimmin' like the fishies in June!!! kcarroll - 2011-06-08 7:56 PM I'm missing all the daytime fun, but doing my best to keep up. TOM, sign up. YOU CAN DO IT!!!! Borrow whatever you don't have and need, which probably isn't that much. There's plenty of geared up, mediocre BOPs. I've also seen some scary, fast guys/gals competing on junker bikes and no special gear/apparel. I bet you can rent/borrow a wetsuit. You already have everything else you need. Bike shoes are nice but not essential. Swift kick with left foot on its way. Ann & Robin, count me in for the next Ghoulie nap. And Robin, your kick had nothing to do with my injury. I'm a klutz. Pure and simple. Now for your grins and giggles. I didn't run this morning since the toe was not going to fit in a shoe. I probably should have packed up and gone for a swim, but decided to have a leisurely morning with b'fast, coffee and a bit of news before hitting the road. At one point I went into the kitchen for a coffee refill. For background, my kitchen and small sitting room are at the back of the house. I don't have blinds on the sliding door to the patio. No one directly behind me except foxes and raccoons, and the neighbors don't wander. So, wearing nothing but my under-roos is not unheard of as I ramble. (Channeling Nekkid here). Imagine my surprise to see two guys in wife-beaters and tool belts standing on my patio???? Yep, the long overdue painting project for the townhouse has begun. Note to self: Wear clothes in the kitchen for the next several months. You should have asked the guys if they missed the memo about the dress code. |

Emma did not want her picture taken and was not cooperating. If you look closely, you can see mom's had holding her in the shot. And Evan does not like to smile showing his teeth, so you always get that grimace if you tell him to show teeth. cracks me up. I'll have to post a more current picture. Owen the baby is really growing. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: The Ghoulies are swimmin' like the fishies in June!!! I forgot to tell you guys the highlight of my day. During the summer my SIL watches my kids one day a week. She was going to pick them up and take them to her house today, but because it is to be in the upper 90's and she doesn't have AC they are staying at my house. That means that my house will be clean when I get home. Somehow she is able to get more housework done in 1 hour than I can get done in 5. The kids even help her. I love summertime!!!
