I was looking to see if the times from the race were posted somewhere and I don't see them on Active.com anywhere. Does anybody know if/when they are going to post them? I was so tired at the end I didn't pay attention to my time, but I'd like to know for posterity.

Congrats to all of you who raced on Sunday!  It sounds like you all had a blast.  I would second Mav's suggestion to write race reports if you haven't already.  I like reading those. I wish I could've at least run a virtual 10 miler with you, but by the end of last week I was exhausted and coming down with a cold!

Thanks for all of you condolences.  It was a LONG week.  I was never more anxious to get back to work (even with a cold)!  Not sure if I'll get out to run today, but will try to get out tomorrow if I don't.  (I probably should've stayed home from work either yesterday or today, but I didn't feel like I could after being out all last week.)

I'm starting to look at HIM training plans.  I will probably do the beginner one here on BT with some modifications (more biking, less swimming).  I also need to fix a flat (yes my bike has a flat on the trainer!) so I can get back to riding at least some.  I'm sure I'll have a million question for you all once I start looking at the plan more closely.

I just found the results on coolrunning.com - http://coolrunning.com/results/12/ma/Feb19_OldFas_set1.shtml

... keep in mind that you probably have a few extra seconds on your official time if you were far back from the starting line.  At least that's what I'm telling myself so I feel justified in shaving off a few seconds, haha!!

I finally psyched myself up (and calmed down my nerves) enough to plan my first bike ride outside on the new bike with clip-in pedals today.  As I was getting dressed for the ride, I remembered that my bike shoes are in my locker at the gym, doh!  Looks like that will have to wait.  It IS another beautiful day out there, hope some of you are able to make it outside!  Now my workout plan for today has changed to some strength training/core work in front of the tv, sigh...

I'm really hoping to fit in an OLY race this season. (Or OELIE race if you're Erin, haha!)  It seems like a lot of the Oly races around here are in late August/early Sept and I'll be on vacation with family around that time this summer.  So I'm considering the Max Performance Title 9 Mass State Oly Tri on July 15th.  Has anyone ever done this race (can't remember)?  Thoughts?  Would anyone else be up for doing it with me?

Here's the website -- http://www.maxperformanceonline.com/massstaterace.html

Wouldit be crazy to do my first Oly one week after a sprint tri (I've already registered for this)??

The running gods are against me.  I haven't run since Sunday's 5k and the weather has been perfect!  Monday's are crazy, yesterday I had a meeting, today a dentist appointment and tomorrow I MUST go to the grocery store (seriously, we have NO food).  I just want to run (away but that is another story).

Thanks for the link to the race times. I guess there were actually a few people behind me. Road my trainer tonight. I just can't seem to get out of work in time to get to the y. I wish I were a morning person. Hope it stays nice enough to try my bike clips outside.

Kristen, I think you could definately do both races. I would suggest you do the sprint as a "rehersal" and not race all out...that way you will recover and be able to do the oly distance without difficulty. Just be sure you keep your training very light the week between the two races.

I too am thinking of doing an oly...this looks like a good one...but the timing may not work for me. I like MAx races a lot!!!

Another beautiful day today folks!!!!! I may go to lakeville and ride...I like to ride on flat roads

Morning!!!!

Hope everyone had a chance to get out and enjoy the beautiful day!

What is this white stuff falling from the sky?????

Yesterday I was able to ride 50 down in Lakeville. Rode one loop of the Patriot HIM course and some of the Cranberry "ollie" couurse. The roads down there are so flat and beautiful. I cannot believe how warm it was outside. The winds picked up at the end and I had to quit...just became a little too unsafe.

I have to check out those Capstone photos...I am sure we all look fantastic.

What's everyone doing this weekend????

i thought the snow was really pretty this morning.  i'm only saying that b/c there was no accumulation, haha!

i went to a masters swim practice today but literally had to drag my butt there b/c we had another rough night's sleep in our house last night.  i'm headed to NY to my parents' for the weekend with my 2 girls, and i cannot WAIT to have a 2 night "vacation" from my son's late night crib parties!!  my poor husband will have to deal, nothing like some good father/son bonding, right?  haha!

my brother is getting married in april, so his fiancee's wedding shower is in NY this weekend.  it will be nice to see family.  i have an 8 miler on tap for tomorrow, hoping to get out there early before the bridal shower.

hope you all have a great weekend!!!

Hi Friends!  I'm feeling pretty ready for the Quincy 1/2.  (Although I'm sure I'll be a nervous wreck the morning of.)  I got my 8 miler in this past weekend.  I still have a 9 mile and 10 mile run to do based on my Hal Higdon's training schedule.  It always has me nervous that the longest run on the schedule is a 10 miler since we're expected to run 13.1 on race day!  It served me well during my last HM, so hopefully I'll have good luck again this time.  Can't believe how quickly race day is approaching!  I heard that there are showers available after the Quincy 1/2, as well as hot soup served to the runners post-race.  How awesome is that??!

Hey y'all; i'm looking forward to the Quincy Half & soup too!  It will be fun to see you again. Can't believe I forgot to get a photo of us in Foxboro!   Kristen & mav & I are doing the Half; how many are in the 5K besides Kim?

I think we are all back to normal eating around here this week and I'm trying to be faithful to my training plan.  But, SNOW ?!?!?!  Last week I only got in one Spin class between the two GI crises.  BTW - Kim, I did put your TI book in the mail yesterday sorry for the delay

My new/used bike has the original tires, and I've had it on the trainer this winter, so I ordered new tires for the season (Mommy' birthday present).   After reading a bunch of BT threads, I got "Gatorskins"  because I do NOT want to deal with a flat in a race. Anyone have experience with these?

I run Gatorskins. I don't have a ton of miles on them, but so far so good.  I've raced in them two or three times (just sprints though).  I'm intending to use them in my HIM as well.

Sorry I have been MIA lately. Finally got a run in today and boy do my legs feel tired. Good news is that I lost 1 whole pound this week which is better than nothin I guess. Later this week I will be driving my daughter and her friend down to Georgia where they'll start their Appalachian trail hike. Have any of you done that? I've always wanted to so I will live vicariously through them. Off to work now. Worked 4-midnight last night and then couldn't get to sleep. So I got up late today and going in at 1
