Had to take Mom in to the Doc this am for a follow up. (All is well). My appt is this afternoon at 4:00. That is too late in the day for me, but the only time I could get.
Kendra: Sorry about your son! Hope it heals fast. I am with Ann, let us know if we need to visit. Those poor dogs! Jules: Sounds like your festival was great fun. Hope the bike ride was as well. Hi Dee, Welcome back to the routine! Melindy: Start of the 4th year!!! YEEEEE HAAA!!! Ann, How was all the kayaking? That is too cool about the rock climbing lessons! I hope Caleb enjoys football. It is tough when you start and sounds like that is a heck of a work out for him! My bike fitting went well. It is going to make a lot of difference. Now I just need to get on the road and try it all out. It won't be today, though with the doctor-work-doctor-town meeting schedule! Have fun all! We could go for a bike ride after we visit Kendra's neighbor. In all honestly I don't like the new Perception Prodigy kayak. I called the manager of the store I bought it at yesterday and let him know. I wanted the Marvel because of the back support. After 20 minutes in the Prodigy I was in a lot of pain. Donnie had to help me get out of the kayak. I have 3 others I can use, so I don't have to be in that one, but I paid for it, I think using it should be an option. He is trying to track down a seat for the Marvel. I guess they don't have any other Marvel's at the other store, or he didn't think of that.
So they will take the Prodigy back? That's good. Have you ever seen a puddle duck boat? Also called a PDracer? A home built skiff-like boat made from plywood. Usually sailed, can also be paddled or rigged with a trolling motor. It sounds like a hoot to make one. I am tempted. that is strange that I have not heard of one of these?!?! my husband is the Ops Mgr of a Port and believe you me the stories I hear are frikin hilarious....some of the makeshift items that show up...and kinda scary on the other hand ~ some live on items like you are describing ~ they just add a tent on top |

Girl Passing on Left - 2012-08-13 6:13 PM kns57 - 2012-08-13 1:25 PM that sux....what kind of dog was it, Kendra? and four dogs??? hoping he has a large backyard!? arent there limits to amount of dogs you can have? hope he heals quickly...I cant blame you for reading the riot act...and i am a TOTAL dog lover! Our Saturday this weekend was a bit tramatic. Our son came back home from a quick trip. Pulled into the driveway, parked his car. Got out and then went to get stuff out of his trunk. He sees the four dogs next door head his way and before he knows it he got bit on the thigh. The dog broke skin right through his pants. The neighbor did come over to apologize as we were trying to get our son off to Urgent Care. He had to call into work to let them know he was not coming in. I read the neighbor the riot act. I like dogs and love animals in general, but you don't let four big dogs run around loose. Our neighborhood has lots of little kids running around all the time, and all I could think of was my 3 & 4 year old grandkids playing outside just a week ago. I did call animal control to report the bite. The dog is supposed to be in quarintine at a vet's right now for the next 10 days. Meanwhile, my son is taking antibiotics and keeping the bite clean. Did not make for a good Saturday. Not sure the type of dog. I believe it is a mutt. They do not have a fenced yard. They need to get it fenced! My county does not have a limit for residential pets. If they are a nuisance then you can sue, so right now it is okay for them to have the four dogs. |

I'm hoping that things will change now that animal control is involved but I am not holding my breath. that REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY makes me mad. poor dogs! of course they are going to be mean dogs when they are mistreated like that. so sad that people have to get a license to get a car...time to get a license when pets are involved! and you answered my question ~ do you get along or did you get along with the neigbor previously? They are new neighbors that moved in during the month of april or May. We have spoken with them a couple of times, but I can tell you that we would not get along with them other than to be neighborly. They all smoke (including the middle schooler). They drink, which in itself is not a problem, but them get loud on their deck late in the evening when drinking. So, it is not social drinking. They park their cars on the street which is disturbing most of us because we are in the cul-de-sac, so it means they are parking in front of my house and my other neighbors because there is not room in front of theirs for more than a small car. I won't go on, but in the long run, except for trying to be nice because they live next to us, I don't believe that we would get along. |

He told me he wasn't cut out for football. He said lots of other kids said they were going to puke. I told him to hang in there, it would get easier. Everyone I have talked to said the first week is the worst, and he will only be there 3 days this week, he's going to Lake Ontario to go fishing with my dad Thursday and Friday. I really hope he sticks with it, but more importantly I hope he likes it. Football is rough when they first start out. Hopefully since he realizes that the other kids were having issues also, he will realize that it is not just him. Here the football players are at it most of the summer and there seems to always be a heat/football related death each year. None that I have heard this year, so I am hoping it stays that way. Keep him hydrated. You know the drill. |

Oooh, you need to share the recipe. pm me your email address essentially it is any large mixing bowl i mix: mixture of dry cereals you like uncooked oats (not the minute cooked ~ i use the oats that takes 5 minutes to cook_) boxed cereal ~ I usually use what I have in cabinet ~ ie chex mix, granola, bran, cheerios, raw or cooked sliced almonds, sunflower seeds, cashews dried fruit (i have used figs, mango, cherries, apricot, dates...you can even add a few chocolate chips or butterscotch chips to the loose version coconut on stove top on low heat in sauce pan: maple syrup raw honey brown sugar peanut butter and agave sometimes if Im looking for a thinner syrup. cook the top items in your oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes before you add the sauce. I cook in a glass pan so I dont burn the cereals/nuts..stir the dry mixture every few minutes remove dry from oven, pour into bowl and mix with sauce place back in the glass pyrex 9 x 13 pan. I press down with wax paper when I want bars or big chunks ~ if you want it to be loose trail mix then just place in glass pyrex without pushing down cook wet/dry for another 10 minutes in 350 degrees remove ~ and munch out! when I make this I make triple batches...my daughter loves it! I have the actual measurements...but the one I will send you is a little different then above...she uses butter and and I wanted a little healthier version...so I tweaked it ....I have even added nutella to a sauce batch ~ the peanut butter and chocolate was pretty darn good if I dont say so myself enjoy!!! ok back to voting! |

Believe me, when I walk into a store and drop a grand for the second time in just over a month, you better make me happy. I was worried about the boy yesterday. Keri and I were sitting up on a hill above the practice field, their water is up there, it's shady. They had been doing conditioning for an hour. He came up for a water break and told me he couldn't do it anymore. He didn't want to quit, but he just couldn't do it. I told him to hang in there, the worst for the day was over and they were going to work on positions and plays now. I called his dad, and he went and picked him up after practice, and they had a talk. When they got home he told me he would stick with it. I am a little bit worried about him because he isn't eating. After practice last night he had some water, but that was it. He ate nothing last night. He can't keep that up. |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: GHOULIES moving towards the islands. Good morning Ghoulies. I did the recumbant stationary bike at the gym last night and my leg and hip seemed to do okay with that, so I am going to make a big effort to get to the gym 2-3 times a week and get the bike in. I have also decided that I will swim every Friday afternoon, and hopefully get in another swim during the week also. I refuse to sit around any longer (well, at least until the results from the MRI and I learn what the "real" problem is). |
