I try to not over think Facebook evre it fun, and light hearted for me so.......nothing bothers me nor do I pay all that much attention to things there.

I do worry about the day I WILL have to deny my childs friendship!!!

Jim,  I was being highly sarcastic in my post.  I guess it didnt come off that way!  And with regards to your FB question, I would expect invites in that situation as well.  Obviously, depends on the situation though.  I wouldnt consider lack of discussion a fail.  Just a rebooting of meaningless drivel that we all come to TAN for!

haha...

I was NOT fishing for responses to the FB post.  I was using it as an example as many things go posted with no responses and not to take it personally.

We used it have a guy on here that if his posts didn't get responded to, would whine and go on and on about how he is being ignored and quitting TAN and no one cares about  him and quitting BT.  But then he is back the next day.  Some of you might remember.  I guess techinally, we could talk to him, since  he was permanatly banned from BT.

I'm NOT turning into him.

My sister unfriended me after an arguement which was kind of surprising.  Now she wonders why we don't talk much or is not up to date on my goings on...

The wife asked if she requested us again if I would except.  I don't need the hastle, so probably not.  Again, to refuse family on FB is sort of odd, but I guess that's how the world is these days.

So now I can access it though the page I have for the cats. Added bonus....some of her close friends have friended the cats and now I can see their horrific teenager FB pages. So far nothing out of the ordinary ....some photos that make me cringe but nothing awful. Some of her friends have even friended me ....which I decline. Seems none of them are hiding anything. And my daughter shows me stuff in hers all the time. And leaves it open on my computer.

Yes, if you raise your children poperly and let them know what is appropraite and inappropriate to put on the internet.......I HOPE I don't have to worry.  But considering he is 11 and 14 year old girls call the phone already.....I WORRY!!!!!!

Funny when we were all young and did dtupid things, we did the walk or shame the next day or were like wow that was a "crazy" night.  Now kids do it, post and relive it FOR ALL to see......not bright.

Man, I'm starting to think of all the issues.  I already see a lot of the stuff guys post to my wife's page that's innapropriate.  I can't imagine seeing what HS boys could post to my daughter's page (if I have one) and not lose my mind.

There is a phone app called "snap chat" . You take a pic and then send it and it only shows for a split second on the other end then it's gone from both ends. Um...this is an awful idea. And the kids use it to send inappropriate pics. They think it's okay because it disappears ....I'm sure it's stored somewhere. My daughter uses it a lot to make stupid faces or when she looks awful to send to her friends (I'm sure it's used other ways too....I'm not that naive). She tells me some of the stuff she's been sent. Horrific!!'

Yeah, I would need to look into that to see where that could end up...

Boys and their junk, they love to show it off.

And you're right.  If a girl had enough sense not to send pics of herself before knowing they could be saved on the other end, this could give someone an arguement to "get a peak" and talk her into it now.
