No problem! My first event isn't until July. I have been digging around - don't have much since I am new to this sport but I do have a pair of mountain bike shorts that I'd be willing to part with. I bought them new, wore AND WASHED them twice They are black size L but fit more like a medium. They are loose shorts on the outside and have biking shorts with pad inside. I don't like them because the inseam isn't long enough for me (5").

If anyone would like them I'd be glad to send them your way. Just PM me and let me know.

Thanks to those that have sent me things - you are greatly appreciated!!!

TJTRYON,

I have spoken with others from the website who have mentioned that youve promised to send them the same shoes including myself. I dont care about the shoes, but I am quite concerned about what your doing with the address information that you request in order to send the shoes.

Each time youre asked about the shoes, you give some story about being bedridden and they would be on the way shortly. Well, much to our surprise you then put the shoes back up for someone else. What gives?

Your giving this great service a bad name.

tjtryon - 2008-02-15 9:13 AM

PM sent to ShawnC13 to see if he wants them as a spare, if not, they are up for grabs. See picts on the first post of page 9. Shimano road shoes, barely worn, size 41 (7 or 7 1/2ish). Spent many years in a closet, as I bought them, wore them a couple of times and decided I needed a size 43.

True I was told I could have the shoes then the next day they were going to someone else, then a month later they were coming back to me. Then this post about sending to wrong address. I have talked with others also and the stories are different. I am concerned what is going on with the information you have obtained if you have said you would send these to many different people. I do not need them anymore, but am just wondering how many people have been told they can have these shoes.

Well, as far as the address info I have been given, I have sent items out to people, as well as a xmas card, plain and simple. That's as far as I have done. For items I have recieved from others, I had also sent them xmas cards. No hidden agendas, I am sick, more info on that in the next post, and honestly, I have cross shipped these shoes to another person on here I had sent some other stuff to. He just moved, and the USPS site shows the shoes were forwarded. I don't personally care who gets the shoes, if you feel like you got screwed, it's much cooler to try to PM a person first.

See the next post for my life in the 7 levels of hell at this moment.

FYI, here's the USPS status of the shoes:

http://trkcnfrm1.smi.usps.com/PTSInternetWeb/InterLabelInquiry.do?o...

And, if you want to be honest, it's not me giving this service a bad name, it's everying b1tching about this BS that has killed this great thread.

Another issue, it seems that people are more interested now in doing the charity auction stuff... I'll still be offering my stuff free on this site, the charity auctions sound great but a bit more complicated.

For anyone who feels they got screwed - PM me that you feel that way, and I will PM you my telephone # that you can feel free to call and I will personally apologize for the issue. You can ask lots of people on this site, I've been around here alot, and I'm actually a great guy on this site - you just caught me sick.

On to the seven layers of hell that have been my life.

Last night my Wife and I were out a bit late (about 8PM for me) trying to have dinner to try and have a somewhat normal meal. I could not wake her up this AM at 6:30 to take my meds, so I ended up crawling to the bathroom and yacking up last night's dinner.

Guys, I have been sick, and have been under some crappy meds. For anyone interested, I've got vestibulitis, mastoiditis and labrynthitis, all on my right side. I had sinus surgery the last Friday in November, and infection spread to the rest of my head. Truely, I have vertigo 24/7, haven't been at work since Nov. 15, haven't driven since I parked my truck on a 35 mile per hour street sign sometime around early December. I'm on some strong meds currently, and am working on weaning myself of them. Basically, my doctors have had me stoned since my surgery. Last week I started a new med schedule. Prior to that, every 3 hours, I had a valium, a phenagrine and an antivert. Ever 4 hours, I had 2 vicaprophins. Honestly, I can't keep that straight, so my lovely wife has been managing my meds. The new schedule is now about 1/2 of the meds at 6 hour intervals - I've got lots more vertigo, but I'm much less stoned. On 2/13, I puked all over my physical therapist, the table, the wall, the chairs, etc.

Thought process from the docs is that weaning will force my body adjust to the vertigo and sort itself out itself, but it's not quite where I need it to be yet. I get out of balance, and it's no fun.

I'm trying to keep everything straight with this myself - some may be my problem, but again guys, when there are 5 people offering something in a row, you can't just hit reply and say "I've PM'ed you". You need to use the quote function so that people know what you want - or at least say I've sent a PM about the shoes.

As far as trying to call me out on this public site for this issue, you could have just pm'ed me about this.

Just for the record, once we find where the shoes land with the USPS, this is the person getting the shoes:

I'd love the shoes if they haven't been sent somewhere else. I am riding with an even older pair (size 41) that have both laces and velcro My husband and I are new to tiathlon and for our 40 th birthdays are training for an oly in July. We're trying to spend wisely on the really important things like bikes and running shoes. Thanks for taking me into consideration!

Corinne Slusser

Here is all I know about where the shoes are:

http://trkcnfrm1.smi.usps.com/PTSInternetWeb/InterLabelInquiry.do?o...

They are being shipped to Erik Mason (masona) who just moved, and had his mail forwarded to the new location. I am sure they will hit his new location this next week sometime. Once he gets it, I am going to coordinate between slusser and masona about where the shoes need to be shipped, and I will be sending Erik the cost of postage. This has all been documented between the three parties offline either via email or PM. The three of us know what is going on.

I have PM'ed the two people above who feel they got screwed on the deal (can you get screwed on a free shoe deal?), and have given them my address, as well as my cell phone number. If they have any further complaints, they should email, PM or pick up the phone and call and talk to me about it. It's just not cool to try and call someone out in a public location like this without first trying to contact people offline. They were offered back to the list because the following PM I recieved:

No hidden agendas. I sent several items out in December, and additionally, with all the items I recieved, and with all the items I sent out, I sent a separate Christmas card to the party, after asking if they mind if I can have their address to send the Christmas cards to.

Sorry things didn't go your way, I truely believe things like this happen for a reason, and the person with the most need is getting the shoes (again, once they land at Erik's new house, and I can get Erik and Corinne on the same page).

Enough on this subject for me tonight...

Someone please post a P3C in about a size 52, and please make it red...

And, if it is not too much, make it full Dura Ace, and with some 999's.

Guys, lighten up, come visit me, I have plenty of good prescription drugs - we can have one hell of a party...

Just remember, the stuff being offered in this forum for free, and I know I have not asked anyone to pay the postage for stuff I have sent out - probably about $50 at this point out of my pocket.

I found some older Shimano mountain bike pedals this morning that I have not used in a few years. They are not high quality but serve the purpose for a beginner pair. If anyone is interested pm me.

I have a 26 serving (sealed) bottle of Hammer Heed (apple cinnamon flavor) sitting around that I 'won' last summer at a Boulder Stroke and Stride. I don't like Heed and avoid gels in general so it's just sitting in my room. First person who wants it gets it.

OK BTers, here is the first of a long line of goods that I will be posting on pay it forward. I am moving to a new house in a few months and started cleaning out a closet of gear last night. Here's what I have so far:

1 set of brand new (w/ mounting screws, etc.) Speedplay Zero cleats.

1 set of brand of brand new Speedplay Zero pedals. They are the black Chrome-Moly model as seen here: http://www.speedplay.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=home.zero.I purchased these pedals with a new road bike and did not like how they looked on it and replaced them the same day. I have ridden on them (running shoes on top of them) but they have never been clipped in and the cleats have not been mounted not have they left the box. They will come in the original box with warranty card and all the original contents.

PM me if you're interested, and keep an eye out for more goods to come...

Looks like the shoes have hit the other guy they were mis-shipped to - but I don't have confirmation of that for sure yet, just the post office website.

Send me your email address, so I can coordinate things with you and Erik Mason (who may have the shoes as of 2/25.
