GaryRM - 2011-01-11 8:05 AM One quick question, about to renew my BT membership.  Currently at the Bronze level, any benefit to go up a level?

Just did a quick check and the difference between the bronze and silver is the addition of another 31 training plans and access to the training video library.

I took the jump because the plans at the silver level are a bit nicer. For expample I don;t think the bronze level plans incorporate strength training while the silver ones do. They also seem to have a little better work-out instructions. To be honest I have only used the videos occasionally. They are interesting to watch though. In the end it wasn't that much more for the silver and I liked what I got out of it. Its really up to you.

Mark, thanks for the info, I may make the jump for 2011 and drop back down for 2012.

LOL, I had set up my HIM plan in my log.  Than I looked at the beginner IM plan, well I must have saved it because my current plan is set to the IM plan.  I was wondering about why it had me do some long days so soon!  Will have to fix that tonight.

Morning all.

Got 50 minutes on the trainer last night watching a spinervals DVD.

Was up this morning and swam 2300Y. Typical me if I don't have everything I need tied with a string around my neck, I'll forget it. In this case I forgot my water in the fridge when I left for the gym. It's discouraging when you get to the gym and find you don't have anything to drink when you're working out. I didn't feeling paying the $4 they want for a bottle out of the machine so I did without. I started feeling real dehydrated towards the end and ended up dropping my 10 minute continous. Oh-well I guess this is better than nothing.

Do you mean the 100 push-up challenge?  A long while ago I tried it for a couple of weeks, tough but a good workout.  Never completed it though.

Okay, upgraded to first the silver imported that plan.  Didn't like it so then the gold membership as I really like the custom plan generator.  Created a plan and imported it in.  At that point I found all of my actual workouts for January were wiped out, sigh.  Posted on the support forum and am hoping they can restore.  I can probably upload from my garmin for the runs/bikes but comments lost and will have to go to the pool as I log my swims on a chart there (part of a challenge group).

Mark...I am a big challenge person. That forum is great. I have never done the pushup challenge. I did do the get your a$$ on the drainer and logged over 500 miles on the trainer

BT has a great ab workout that I have done consistently for 2 weeks and I am already seeing improvement. Its under the articles and it has a video. I am up to 20 reps for each and I "feel it".

Gary...it sux that you lost your data...Marmadaddy will be helpful and hopefully restore it!!!!

We are in the midst of a blizzard. Already have 14-16 inches and still have about 8 hours left to go. I need to move to Fla!!!

I am not too worried about it, I would really like the entries back but I can recreate most of the numbers.  Worse things have happened.  Stay safe Mav!  Does your bike have snow tires?

Yeah I did the same thing. I started it and got a few weeks in before quitting about a year ago. I am thinking about trying it again. I suck at push-ups so it would be a good challenge for me.

That sucks Gary. Hopefully they can restore your lost data for you.

I alway thought the only difference between the gold and silver plans was at the gold level you had access to the coaches. The plans i downloaded never exactly fit what I wanted either. But I found that they arent hard to modify. All you do is download a plan that is sorta similar, then go to the monthly planned calendar view. From there you can drag and drop the work-outs to where ever you want.

YEAH! If I have to run in a frost it's only fair that you bike in a blizzard.

Wow, by the time I posted that Marmmadaddy had already posted they will restore the data.  Now that is customer service.  Being a tech guy I have a feeling that I contributed to the problem but as a typical user I will deny any wrong doing!

Mark - Nope you pay extra for the online coaching which I am considering when I start my IM training.  I like the custom training plan as it works for HIM and IM distances and you can specify your workout days when creating the plan.  For me my long runs are Sunday and long rides are Saturdays (alternating), Swims are MWF, etc and can specify that when setting up the plan.  I was spending too much time dragging workouts around.

Make time, Billy! We miss you

I had a good day today! Got up and did my P90X Shoulders and Arms workout, as well as Ab Ripper X. THen, while Nikita was in school, I managed to have Lukas play in his crib and got 3.2 mile run on the dreadmill.. and at 4, my neighbor Dee came over and we did the P90X Kenpo X workout. I got a ton of kid and dog interruptions, so I logged it as only 30 min, but I did work out with her for the whole hour...

I think I need to go ice my knees...

HOw's everybody else doing?

Hey all!
Billy - hope the project is going well.

Managed a swim today and run last night.  29F but dry out and was a good run.  Can't tell you what my mileage is for the month as they are still working on restoring my logs.  Hope full will have that back soon.  Hoping for a long ride tomorrow.  Wife is out of town on a business trip so its just me and the kids (and the dogs, cats, horses, fish, lizard).

I'm here and still training!  Tongue out  I even enjoyed a snow day yesterday and 2 hour delay today!

It has been a sad week.  One of Cameron's friends killed himself Sunday evening.  Cameron is having a difficult time dealing with it.  The funeral is tomorrow.  Seems you always hear about these things but it has never hit this close to home.  Frown

Oh Amy...so sorry to hear about your sons friend.

We are shoveled out of our 2 feet of snow. Yesterday I was able to get in a 4 mile treadmill run. I think I am going to be short on the run portion of the double IM challenge as my knee is acting up...but I still have 15 more days to try.

After your behavior the last time I asked, I hesitate but will take a chance. We are going to have some new folks listening in / lurking over the weekend and maybe joining in the conversations. Please, please behave better than you did when we brought Mark in.....not really, just be you and we will let the chips fall where they may. We have some really interesting folks coming to play. Apparently, we are a bit interesting ourselves.

HI new folks!!! Come join us!!! We are a fun group, I promise.

LRR, after your post, do you really think they won't go back a few pages and read our fun discussions? (especially since it's mandatory reading?) yeah... don't know why you waste your mentorly breath *Big grin* (we really need some quality smilies here!!!) And if you ask me, Mark and his popcorn fit in just fine!

Now, in the spirit of obedience... Billy and John, behave! (HA!)

You know the deal, I will behave when you get that PR.  Untill then, well..........

Welcome new folks.  Don't worry, this is an awesome group and we may give each other a hard time but it's always with the best intentions.
