I have reached a new level of insanity that I was not previously aware that I was capable of.  I just signed up for IM Canada 2009.

Hey everyone - sorry I've been away.  Looks like alot of great races accomplished and some nice goals for next year too!  WTG

I'll be back on my log now.  Won't have quite as much time to train but trying to get in 3 hrs a week while football and soccer are in swing for DS & DD.

One more tri this year in October and going to a tri camp in January over a weekend, so that should be interesting.

Hi everyone!!  Ran a half marathon over the weekend, RR is up.  I'm currently stuck in San Diego because I took Amtrak down here on Friday, and the tracks are shut down now because of the horrendous Metrolink crash.  My train was stopped at the Chatsworth station at the same time as that Metrolink train, minutes before the crash, I remember seeing it.  Pretty crazy.... so I'm flying home tomorrow.

I hope everyone had a good weekend!!!

I everyone! I know we haven't been posting much, but I wanted to check in for a few minutes. I have been thrown a curveball and don't think I will be around to post for a while. My husband had an anuerism in his brain rupture the other night. I have been with him in ICU since. It looks like he will recover, but it will be a long road. I was looking foward to volunteering at Silverman, but think I will have to back out. I haven't ran or anything since it happened. I need too, but the opportunity just isn't there.
Take care and I will check in occasionally

Many years ago, I was an off-and-on recreational runner.  A large project at work kept me busy and I ceased excercising for more than a year.  I, not surprisingly, gained weight.  Sometime after the project had finished, I eventually became fed up with being overweight.

2008 is almost done... okay done for me.

What are everyone's plans for 2009???

I'm planning to do Donner Oly since I have a credit from this year (wildfires canceled the race), and Wildflower long course as a tune-up for the big Vineman IM. I'll throw in a marathon and a splattering of century rides too for prep.

2009 for me - Wildflower long, IM Canada, and many shorter races.  My season will kick off in January with the Carlsbad half marathon.

2009- I want to run a couple of 5Ks and see how well I can get my times down. I also want to run a half marathon, and of course do plenty of triathlons.

P.S. I love the avatar enginerd! When was it taken?

wow! that's a nice, um, dress Donato.

But he's in San Francisco, so I'm not surprised.

(if I had to guess, I think he wore it in the Nike Women's run).
