We are ooohhh so close to Christmas, and I am ohhhh so far way from my goal and moving futher away at an astonishing rate.  I'm weighing in at 169.5.  I don't know where the weight is coming from.  I'm eating reasonably and working out more than usual.

On a happy note, Santa is bringing me a 405

Decent considering I did eat for Thanksgiving and a plate of leftovers. Was just unbelievably focused on the other days

Not a good week at all.

11/17 - 243.6 pounds
11/24 - 246.3

I'm not posting today. It's that bad. But it was 5 days at the in-laws. I went grocery shopping last night and have a week of good food in the house.

    Last week 190

This week 190.5.  It's the second week in a row that I have put on weight.  .5 each week.  I am not happy, but I am not going to beat myself up over it either.  I had my thyroid tested last week and the dr. wants to speak with me about the results.  It's probably nothing at all and they are going to tell me that everything is normal, but if it was hypothyroidism it would answer a lot of questions.

My goal is to get to 187.5.  I still think that I can make it.

+1.9 lbs. From my running totals, I really have done nothing but fluctuate around the same 5 or 6 lbs. I can't seem to keep it going down. Although I had already lost 20 lbs this year. Maybe my body is still trying to adjust. Thoughts?

    11/17/2008 - I think it was 152.5

    11/24/2008 - 151.5

    12/1/2008 - 153

I am so depressed.  I gained so much despite loads of exercise.  It is because I did not go to the gym for two days to rest and recover and now I feel fat. Sigh.  I think I need to swim a few miles this week.  I would still like to lose 4 pounds by Christmas.  I know I gained muscle mass because my body fat is down from 25.2% to 24.4%, but I am still depressed.  I know body fat decrease is great but I feel fat and icky.  Sigh.

    I am just that way.

Congrats to everyone who lost weight!

I'm still at 286lbs which means that I have not moved in the last two weeks.

I am still quite frustrated and am losing motivation quickly. I hope that it is just a plateau and that I will experience a descent drop in weight shortly.

I missed last week, so I am catching up.   After my initial loss, I seem to be hovering around the same numbers.  I need to get a little more strcit with myself, I think.  Hmmm.  I know I won't reach my goal by Christmas, but I think I will shoot for 145 to be more realistic and to try to stay motivated.

I know it's easy to lose your motivation when things aren't going the way you want but DON'T!  Find something that'll help you ~ a challenge or even working out at a different time of day may help.  The scale will start moving again!

Thanks for those words. I have been feeling flat lately. This morning I went out for a ride with a new bunch (great guys) and we did about 30 miles, which is about 6 miles longer than I normally do. I was getting a lot of comments from the bunch about how good I looked on the bike. And when we stopped all the guys commented on how well I did 'for a big guy'. This comment doesn't bother me by the way. I felt really good on hearing this and have a renewed vigour.

    Looking forward to next week!

I will be riding with them again for sure! I went out this morning with my regular bunch and happened upon these same guys after the ride. One of them said he saw me lead-out the bunch on the way home and couldn't believe my form. I am floating on air now!!!

    I am motivated again...

    Iron-Gus,

Way to go. I was told the same thing and it was a great boost. I feel that the bike is my one strong point and it is good to hear a compliment.

I am glad that it gave you the vigor back.
