  • Sorry this is late...I weighed myself Monday but am playing catch up today in the forums.  Anyway, I had some scale issues so can I blame this 5 lb difference on that?!  Seriously though, while it really upset me at first, I realize this is more realistic anyway and I will stay positive and be thankful for the great progress I've made.

Congrats to those that have met their goals, those that are within reach, and to everyone who is still reaching (or at least hanging on)

I'm not likely to drop five pounds in four days, but I'm thankful for this challenge, because I have lost five pounds, and it is staying off. I've never gained less than 5 pounds over the winter, and this time it will be different!

Thank you, all who participated and encouraged on this challenge!

    Merry Christmas!

    Official Start weight 226.0

Official Goal - 205 by Christmas.

    9/29 - 225.5

    10/6 - 223

    10/13 - 220.0

    10/20 - 216.5

    10/27 - 219.5

    11/3 - 217

    11/10 - 215

    11/17 - 214

    11/24 - 214.5

    12/1 - 213.5

    12/8 - 212.5

    12/15 216

213.5 - Got back most of last week, but still had customers and Christmas cookies around.  I have an abdominal CAT SCAN this morning.  One more test to try to find the root cause of pain.

Well I managed 12.5 pounds on the challenge, so I got the 10, just did not get the 20 I wanted.

Had a great race on Sat.  No walking, 11:13 min/miles and negative splits, so this has been a good 2 months.

Do not believe I am a size 36 yet, however I am closing in on it.

    Starting weight 197.5

    Goal 197.5

So I offically made goal on Friday of last week.  I weighed in at 187.4.  I did it!  However, the scales might tell a different story tonight when I weigh in since we ate out Satuday night.  Who knows.  Anyway, it's on to another 10 pound goal.  I will be happy when I have reached my goal loss of 40 pounds, but I am taking it slowly.

I am truly thankful for this challenge and will join others.  Having to report in, really kept me motivated!

I hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas/Happy New Year.

Well, as of Monday I finished up at 213.  Considering the holiday dinners and parties and constant exposure to treats, I'm actually relieved that I only gained 1 pound.  I would have been happier to be closer to my goal of hitting 200 by year's end, but it's hard to complain when I went from 265 to 213...

I'm visiting family for the holidays, and they have no idea that I've lost weight.  I'm looking forward to some surprised faces when they see me for the first time.

Now... who's ready for a New Year's New You challenge?  Any thoughts on how long to run it?  There's always Valentine's day...

Thanks to all who joined in, congratulations to everyone who lost weight--and to those who may not have, KEEP TRYING!  If this challenge didn't do it for you, try another one.  You CAN do it!

    Thanks again,

    Merlyn
