That is a great idea.  I'll check it out.  It would make a great Valentine's gift don't you think?

I gave up counting laps in my head, english or spanish.  I just kept losing count. 

And the floating lint or other stuff is very distracting for me.  I start to wonder about all the other stuff that could be floating as well, Yuck.  Chlorine kills it all right?

They also make lap counters that you can wear on your hand like a ring.  It has a button you click with your thumb after each lap.  I haven't tried one, but was on the verge of getting one when I got  the armband.  Swimming a couple of miles and trying to keep lap counts in your head can really be tough.

I am certain that whatever is floating in the pool must be dead from the chlorine.  ( I keep telling myself that everyday) No different really than open water swimming, right, just that you can see more in the pool.  Heh.  Heh.  Eeww.

There is a vicious rumor someone on our blog group like to pee in pools but I ain't naming names.

Not in my house.  The 4 of us, we don't name names. 

I have the ring lap counter and love it.  Well worth it.  Much easier than reaching for a button on a watch.

Is the waterproof Ipod holder bulky? I looked at and wonder if it's uncomfortable.

Eeewww! It ain't me.

Save your money... I had the ipod case and I did one turn it fell off and I left it there until the end of my workout.

Urinator... this whole thread brings back memories from last summer when a couple of us were contemplating what may be floating around in the lake...

I have had no issues with it being bulky.  The only issue I had with it was the first time I tried to use the belt, I didn't have it tight enough and it wanted to pull away on my first flip turn.  After I got it snugged down a bit more, it was no issue. Now, I don't use it while I am trying to do any speed work, this is really for those long, slow swims.

Okay, back to more serious matters.  I got a nice ride in this morning and some weights.  But I'm tired from yesterday's swim.

Now I need to pack.  I'm headed to Seattle for an overnight trip.  Picking my mom up from the airport.  Then to make it fun, taking my son to the aquarium and doing a little shopping at Pike's Place Market.  Be back late tomorrow night.  I'm not taking a computer with me (Yikes).  So y'all have a good day and don't get into any trouble.

LOL!!!  OK, let's be nice to Joe, he gave me a tip on a nice used tri bike for sale and I am going to go check it out tomorrow and maybe buy it!!!

Wow... i am catching a lot of guff for peeing in the pool!

Computrainer class tonight at well fit. We just did some easy spinning with some interval work. It was pretty cool. My legs felt bad and still do. 

Early morning run tomorrow. I should be in bed now but I am thinking pizza and a beer. Is that bad? I hope that everyones training is going well...

Anne- you better post pictures if you get! Let me know also if the TCX is in. I might make a trip down this weekend.

Morning NUGs! Did some ab work this morning with Tony Horton (yes, I am lame). As a treat, I also whipped up some bacon and thoroughly enjoyed the transgression from good nutrition. Hope to get some kind of workout in tonight, schedule permitting.

Early morning treadmill run. There is a church on fire a few blocks away. I watched it from my dreadmill. I have a funny picture/question to post on my blog in a little bit. Since there is someones actual phone number on it, I have to do a little editing.

Tri club meeting tonight. Cervelo rep is going ot be there with a P4. I will try and snag some pictures of it and post them.

Maybe some bike porn.....can't wait!

Arrest one of Springpatch's finer citizens this AM.  When we strapped him into the front-passenger seat he was thrilled.  He said he usually rides in the back of police cars!
