Congratulations on an outstanding race.  Talk about totally SMASHING your goals!  That is a very impressive time for your first Olympic race.  Sounds like you had nothing left in the tank at the finish line, which is the way it should be.  Well done (and great write up)!

I decided to scrap all workouts this weekend to let my neck get better.  It's still a little stiff and sore, particularly in the mornings, but it loosens up as the day goes on.  I got a 40 min treadmill run in this morning and my neck only complained a little.  I have a swim planned for lunchtime today, so that'll be the true test.  I think I'll just take it nice and slow and make sure not to aggravate it since my first race is less than 2 weeks away.

I got my swim in at lunchtime and the neck was not an issue.  Hopefully, I can put this little nagging injury behind me and get on with my illustrious triathlon career! Wink

I'm still on track to at very least meet my goals this month.  Go men, go!!!

Just take it easy if the neck is telling you to - don't want to ruin the whole summer and Iron Cross!!!

Is there any info up on the web about that race yet?

Hour long trainer ride this morning.  That sure can be mind numbing, but at least it's done!  Off to the Y at lunchtime for a light treadmill run.  It's raining out, so all sports will be indoor today.

Great job on the results so far, men!  Keep up the solid work!!!  Let's show those ladies who's the boss! (please don't tell my wife I said that!)

Hey Bill, are you still planning on doing the XTERRA Lake Placid?

I need to add a race to my schedule for points.  If I can get cheap airfare, it might be easier for me to fly to New York than drive to Colorado for an event.

Just thinking out loud!

Alright boys...now that my A race is done, I and I'm sort of recovered...I can start hitting back the training volume and catching up on my run goal.  One more race this weekend...a 40k TT with a time goal of 1:12.  Being that I had a 40k split of 1:07:03 in my Oly, I think I should be able to handle this.  I won't really taper for this race, and the wind will be a little stronger on this course, but I think 1:10 should be attainable.

Lets finish strong men
