I know, sorry for the stupid question. I had to shrink mine, i think it needs to be less than 200pixels? or something close to that. If you open the pic in microsoft pictures there is the edit button, click that and then you can resize the pic to the right dimensions. Then it should accept it...hopefully =) |

I don't think I'm going to be able to run for the next few days. I guess I'm going to be spending a lot of time on my bike this week. You brother is smarter than I was. He actually has to be really careful about supplements now because he just signed his letter of intent and the NCAA has all kinds of rules about supplements. Things like more than 4 cups of coffee a day will result in an illegally high caffeine level. |

I've been icing like crazy, taking Aleve, etc. It feels like hell. Anyway, you are right. This is a minor setback, and better that it come now than closer to triathlon / marathon season. My HM training plan doesn't even start until Feb. 15. Do I need to rest it the entire week? Or would it be ok to do some light biking on Wed./Thurs./Fri? Like all of you, I am an active person, and I hate to sit around for a whole week. That would suck!!!! |

The problem is the number of baseball players who take amphetamines, with a doctor's prescription, for treatment of ADHD. You almost need some form of performance enhancement to level the playing field. |

Expert 1121 | Subject: RE: kaburns1214 Mentor Group - CLOSED I may have found the answer to the treadmill blues. Instead of staring at the timer, use your shirt to block the digital screen on the treadmill, hiding the timer, mileage etc. I wasn't so focused on worrying how much time I had ran, or was planning to run. Although my pace wasn't super fast, I felt like I could run much longer than I did. I believe I was training in zone3, maybe the start of zone 4, and for now, that was a good, steady pace for me. By spring I should be able to increase that pace into the 8's. |

If nothing else they can use ultra sound / ice / heat to help the sprain heal. The ultra sound can be particularly helpful. |

Master 1832 Elgin, IL | Subject: RE: kaburns1214 Mentor Group - CLOSED If the doctor says PT and it is covered by insurance, do it, just be wary of how many appts you use (if there is an annual limit) just in case you need any later. I have been in therapy for my IT band for the last 3 or so weeks and I am finally up to 1 hr of running, it has helped, if nothing else to show me how to strengthen muscles and what to strengthen. As you can see from my training, I have pretty much kept everything else up though. |
