MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies are workin' out in July! ironannekidd - 2011-07-25 6:45 AM This was my weekend. Friday night -my daughter had 4 friends spend the night. Saturday morning - make breakfast for 5 a little bit grumpy girls who didn't get a whole lot of sleep the night before Saturday midday - after the guests were gone, feed my kids then take a nap Saturday night - go hike up a very steep hill to sit in the woods for SAR training. We were back to my friend's house around midnight, which was early for night training, it was just too hot for the dogs to work. Crashed at their house then. Sunday morning - wake up a little after 8, make up home around 11. Played with the pups, waited for the kids to get home, then took a shower. I STANK! Took a nap after lunch. In the afternoon I took both kiddos and 3 dogs to the canine spa for the pups to swim. When we got there, there were already a few other people there. We walked in and someone said "look, another Dane". I looked up and there was a big black Great Dane with a white blotch on her chest. She liked to swim, which was fun to watch. I was talking to the owner and it turns out that she is Milo's sister. She was one of the last pups taken from the litter. She and Milo have a lot in common, but it sounds like she has destroyed a whole lot more than Milo has. I took a few pictures, then let my niece know when we got home that I saw her and that she was doing well. Sunday night - had dinner, crashed on my recliner, everyone went to bed early. Ann, that is quite a weekend. WOW!

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies are workin' out in July! Okay, saw my grandskids off this morning. We had a great visit. Thu - spend the day at the pool with a picnic lunch. After kids in bed, grown ups played Settlers of America: Trails to Rails game for the first time. It was fun. Fri - Day at the zoo. Sat - Pool day with picnic lunch, pedicure for the ladies, boys playing at neighbors. Men fold all on computers, LOL. Game night where 13 of us played Werewolves. Great game for a large group. We played three rounds of it. For some reason they think my poker face means that I am a werewolf, but I was innocent each time. Still dead, but innocent. The werewolves won one game, the villagers won two. Sun - quiet day. Boys playing up the street, everyone but me went to Wild Wings for lunch. Lots of laundry was done today, and packing of the car for an early start this morning. Thai food for dinner (yummy) and another night of Settlers of America. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulies are workin' out in July! Good morning Ghoulies! I realized last night that I am a magnet. I have 3 dogs and 2 kids in my house right now. I have been noticing that whatever room I am in, they all gravitate to, too. Last night I wanted a little quiet time to read, so I went back to my bedroom to get away from the ruckus in the front of the house. In less than 15 minutes, both kids, and all 3 dogs were in my room. The kids were on the bed with me, the dogs were all laying on the floor. I went out to the kitchen to get a drink, there was a parade down the hallway. In some ways it warms my heart, in other ways it makes me want to pull my hair out. |

They moved this weekend, and she went to the hospital yesterday afternoon. They wanted to admit her before the surgery so they could do all of the prep stuff the day before. She is in surgery now. |

I have to cancel the Birthday party that was to be here tonight. The person it is for will NOT understand my having to cancel. The I need to go to the airport and pick up the young-un who is flying in for the siege. During which I get to deal with the family that came in yesterday and is staying here and soothe my mom, who is feeling abandoned. Funny how a death really isn't about the person dying at all. |

That is funny. I vote for the Heart Warming part! (thought I completely understand the hair pulling part, too) I do like that they want to be with me, but every now and then I need a little quiet time. I went to a different room last night because I wanted to read. I have been studying up for a potential job interview in the near future. It was too loud out in the living room so I went to my bedroom. When they all did come back the dogs laid down on the floor and napped, and the kids jumped on the foot of the bed and watched TV, so it was a little less ruckus than we had out in the living room. |
