Member 95 | Subject: RE: Introduce yourself: Georgians Name: Stacey Age: gonna be 40 soon! Hometown: Lithonia City\Town: Johns Creek Favorite Training Places: currently work out often at Lifetime in Alpharetta and Johns Creek, looking to start some outdoor training now to prepare for tri. Triathlons Completed: none, going for my first in May Current Goals: I have been a regular gym goer for a little over 2 years now. I am very proud what I have accomplished in those two years. I joined to be a better/healthier mom (I have 3 kids) and it has become my new addiction. I have to admit I'm a bit of a group fitness junkie, but I decided I needed a new goal for the new year and have always wanted to do a tri. I'm planning my first sprint tri at Lake Lanier May 20th. I'm REALLY hoping I love this bc I would love to do an oly tri next. I would love to find some groups of people working out. I'm a little nervous about the biking. I would mountain bike pretty often before kids, but have never biked on the roads. Oh, a little weight loss from training would be great too! = ) |

Go from zero to competent on the bike. Go from used-to-be-good to is-good on the swim. Go from mid-pack to...front-of-the-mid-pack on the run. Decide if I'm sticking with this and do so before laying down big bucks for a new bike. |

New user 2 Grayson | Subject: RE: Introduce yourself: Georgians Hi Sarah, I'm Jason and read your response. You don't have to lay out mega dollars for a bike. I just a nice used one off Craigslist. However I would say be patient- it took me 3 months to find exactly what I was looking for, when I did find it I was able to save about 450.00 from what it would have cost. I'm not even talking about a carbon bike either. Having a really solid idea of you want will help in your search... good luck. |
