#1373- 26.3 miles

Another tough training day, approx 6,000 feet gain/6,000 loss and its just been hot the last few weeks, high of 94 today. It really slowed me down. It was hard to get enough fluids, and at times I drank too much and was sloshing. Last week it was in the mid-90s also, and "for fun" I tried to do a 30 mile run 15 out, and 15 back. I went out with 80 ounces of fluids, and I also brought my "life-straw" water bottle. My plan was to filter water at creeks, but it was way to hot, I was going through too much of my fluids. Time wise, it really wasn't working out, and I would have to slow down too much since I could only fill 22 ounces per stop, and there weren't many options up on the mountain ridge.

Good to see you guys still at it.

Tuesday - #1094 - 4 miles speed work at lunch, 18 miles on the bike in the evening including 6 1 mile hill repeats
Wednesday - #1095 - 3 miles easy
Thursday - #1096 - 4 miles build
Friday - #1097 - 2 miles easy
Saturday - #1098 - 2 miles easy and then 1000y in the pool
Sunday - #1099 - 2 miles in the morning, 13 miles on the bike in the evening
Monday - #1100 - 2 miles

Crossed over 3 years...might as well keep it going. It doesn't seem like that long, but it is. I don't think much of a short 2 mile run most days, but in the seldom times when I explain my streak to someone, they are floored.

Congrats on 3 years! I only hope I can make it that long before screwing something up.

I try not to talk about running too much so I don't become that guy who talks about running (or paintball or macrame or fantasy football) all the time, but I get the same reaction if it comes up. I'm always stunned, because it's not that hard to get out for 10-20 minutes every day.

#361 - 2.1
#362 - 2
#363 - 2.5
#364 - 2.6
#365 - 2 miles.

I'm still around and still streaking. I've been on an internship this summer, spending 70 hours a week in a kitchen in Positano, Italy. I don't think I reached 15 miles any week since May, but I still made it out every day. The next 11 runs are all vacation runs, which are second only to race day runs in awesomeness.

Great to see you're still at it, especially with how hard it sounds like you are working! Congrats on getting back to a year after that injury. Hopefully everything is pain free?

The ankle seems to be in great shape, other than the odd click, and the PF is under control as well.

#376 - 4 miles. Last run in Italy.
#377 - 2.5 treadmill miles.
#378 - 2 miles. I missed trail runs with the puppy. Didn't miss spiderwebs and horseflies.
#379 - 2.2 miles. Now my longest streak ever.

Great to read that, and congrats on the longest streak ever. Now you get to say that every single day going forward!

Monday - #1114 - 2 miles on the treadmill before a quick 1500y in the pool

Tuesday - #1115 - 2 miles after 13.5 mile bike
Wednesday - #1116 - 2 miles after 1500 yards in the pool
Thursday - #1117 - 2 miles easy
Friday - #1118 - 2 miles
Saturday - #1119 - 2 miles
Sunday - #1120 - ~4.1 miles in the Ludington triathlon which unfortunately became the Ludington duathlon due to waves and currents. Not what I want to see, as the swimming is my relative strength. I managed to get 2nd in my age group regardless, and 13th overall, but probably would've been top 10 and won my AG if they did the swim.

I haven't posted in awhile, but I'm also still at it. The streak is coming up on 4 years, started Oct. 22nd 2012.

#1446-1447-101.85 mi Grindstone 100 in 23 hours 5 minutes, finished 12/265 (still unofficial)
#1448- 2 mi (yesterday), still have to run today.

I finished my 3rd 100 mile race Saturday, the Grindstone 100. There were 291 registered runners, I think 265 started (official results haven't been released yet). It was a tough race, it rained the whole time, literally every second, and that course is tough, lots of long climbs and descents. I think there were 85 DNFs, and 180 finishers. I finished 12th. I was hoping for a top 10 finish, but I uncharacteristically had some GI issues that hurt my nutrition plan and slowed me down for a good chunk of the race. It was likely the 6pm start time that had my system off. I got my nutrition back on track during the second half and finished strong.

Great job on the 100!
Amazing that you could still keep your streak going.

Still hoping to do a 100. There is a flat one in IL that I have been looking at, and a new one in MI.

Nice job Brad.
I past the 2 year mark the end of December.
I know I am too old to catch Ron Hill that went over 19,000 days.
