Turns out I might be getting a treadmill!!! It isn't a fabulous one, but for only $200, I think it'll be okay. I'm actually going to try to talk her down to $150, but not sure how she'll take to that. Also found out I'm (hopefully) getting a bike trainer for Christmas. Yay!!!

Alas, though, I didn't run to work tonight. Was all set and then got invited on a hike tomorrow. Didn't want to shoot my legs for that. I've been reading ChiRunning, though, so I'm psyched to try some stuff out of that. Now I just need to STICK with a program - grr!!

Dreadmills are AWFULL!!! However, when your stuck inside like me up here in the nosebleeder section of the country....they are a must. Congrats. On mine you can check total mileage on it. Maybe you could use that as an excuse to bring the price down. Of course, when a guy is desperate.....I am a sucker for exercise equipment though.

Ok...my leg feels SOOOO much better today. I could actually sleep on it last night. I checked and I can swing my leg over the bike without gasping. I don't know about the ITB it may have been just ticked because the hip was out, and it was getting strained. Going to bike then ice/heat/stretch. OOOHH I am so excited. Kinda sickening that I ran hard and biked hard all month with that out.

Back from lil ride, speed faster today then the other day...still not great, but did not want to push. At least I think I broke a sweat. Leg felt good, did not cry for my mommy after each bump. I am ice/heat (love that!) and stretching now. I can tell I have been slacking, my legs burned a bit.

The treadmill is both good news and bad news!

Gooooo team.  I'm swimming with the masters this morning and then I'm going to ride later today--probably at lunch.  I need to get extra hours in on the new bike.

I started reading ChiRunning just before I got pregnant.  I incorporated a couple things from his book.  Hope you enjoy it.

Hey team -
Sorry for being MIA lately. This past weekend I made the 12 hour trip to Chicago from OKC with a 7 week old puppy for my sister. Laney is going to be so loved and spoiled. After making the trip home this past Tuesday I have been trying to recover as well as get up with our very spoiled puppy - Jake. He is Laney's brother. The getting up at 3:15 is going to be killer but even if I am slower I am getting things done. Below is a picture of my "little man" Jake.

Grrrrrreat looking dog!

Thanks - we like him a lot...

He fixed the hip and lower back, now all the nerves are firing again, and not happy. IDK..He also said he put it in, and running may iritate it.grrr..

I hope it works and you are out of pain soon. Keeping fingers crossed.

OMG what a FREAKIN' cute puppy!!!!! I'm a sucker for puppy pics... Awwwwwwww!

Thanks Slugger. We think we did good on picking him out. Don't let the "i didn't do it eyes" fool you though. He can be a handful at times.

It is afternoon and hip is still good!! yipppiiiee!! Heading to Washington for the weekend. I have 1.25 miles to run and 40 min bike session, and I will be 100%! I am taking the hip out for a spin in the morning, don't plan on breaking the sound barrier or anything, just get movin. I was told to take it easy on the hip for a few days....(nail biting--gasp!) The legs are quite still from lastnights squats.

Good morning team!  To any and all racers, please make sure you bring your trophies to the "Team #3 - August is More Challenge" Hall of Fame in Canton Ohio.  It is right next to the "check cashing store."  Seriously, you guys have a great weekend and do well...

Now I'm off to spin on the computrainer this morning.  I'm hoping to get the second half of Ironman Kona done today.  Then, it is off to kids football to Shag balls.  Yep, that makes me a "Shagger."  I have the email message to prove it.  Probably certified Shagger too.   Maybe I'll get business cards printed up.   At about one I'm going to hit the road again. Hopefully, I can get 4 1/2 hours in today.

It is 4:45 and I'm on BT because I don't really want to spend this time on the trainer this morning.  Bah. Now it is time to suck it up.

Hey team, I know I have been really scarce here for the month. I have been logging and trying to get everything done. I have had a few unexpected set backs and family crisis stuff. I am going to try to hit all 4 goals but may not make it..But I am still trying.

Did a huge torture session last night with the weights, putting me at 110%. I have 30 min of cycling today and I will be finished. Was hoping to be finished before the last day. The hip held up after the little run Saturday, get to do it again on Tue. I am trying to bring it back slow now that the hip is back in. I know I can run a 10k, so I figure if I do some small runs to remind my legs of what to do, that maybe I will be good to race.
