Oh I do love a good snog...and a shag hehehe

I had a good laugh when a girl from Great Britain worked here in SC during a construction project. One of the secretaries came up to her and invited her out dancing. GB girl wanted to know what kind of dancing. Southern girl replied "We are going shagging". GB girl "Wow. I didn't expect you to be so blunt". Southern girl obviously puzzled replied, "It's a shag club". GB girl, "A shag club? I thought this was supposed to be the Bible belt?!" They finally figured out what each other was talking about. Too funny. The Shag is a very popular dance here South Carolina.

When The Spy who Shagged me came out in the UK they had to change the name hehehehhe.

There's an old folks home here called S.H.A.G.   Call Shag!  hahha I love it.

Well I did an awesome little run this afternoon. Almost 6 miles.  I have finally managed to conquer breathing and relaxing on a run and not getting all stressed out which makes me stop more.    Not doing the 10 miler tomorrow however as life has gotten in the way and it's pants. I will make my goal though. I promise   Happy trails HH's!

I put in another couple today - my quad is now telling me it likes running but not so much walking...  In general it seems on the mend.  I'll meet my goal -- 24 minutes left!

Then onto November...the 5x challenge is not for me, sigh.  Another running goal challenge month would be perfect.  what to do...

Hey all, sorry I've been MIA for the past week or so.... unfortunately my training has been equally MIA.

I'm heading into another crazy week right now, with about 12 miles left to run this month.  My best bets for getting any miles in are tomorrow afternoon, Tuesday morning, and Thursday morning.  Maybe Wendesday evening if I hit the treadmill.  Unfortunately, my feet have been hurting when I run more than 2-3 miles at a time, but I'm going to do my best to get those miles in by the end of the month!

Had an easy 2 miler yesterday, followed by a brisk 5 miler this morning.

Looks like I'm going to be up over 90 miles this month (goal was 70)!

The time's not a good number, but the distance is. Nice going.

Okay...so is it very anal to add a measly mile to my total even when I've exceeded the goal and it doesn't really matter?

I got in 6 more miles this morning. I still don't think I'll make goal. Should have run once over my "holiday" weekend I have 5 miles scheduled for Friday. I don't really want to go over what my coach is telling me to do since I have a history of running injuries. Lo siento, team

Hey headless,

I did get 4 miles in on the treadmill this morning, which leaves 8 miles for the month.

I'll get in as many as I can in the next three days!

It's just a challenge. Nobody's going to come over and turn you truly "headless" if you don't meet your goal. Well, maybe not, anyway.

The important thing is to stay healthy and enjoy running. If you can do both of those, awesome. If you can meet some arbitrary goal you set a few weeks ago, bonus.

Do any ultrarunners, or people who just LOVE to run want to finish my challenge? I still have 5 and a half hours to run in the next 3 days. Unfortunatly, I think my legs would fall off if I attempted to run that much

DONE!

Did a 4 miler at lunch today making my goal! I might get another run in on Thrusday depending on weather and how hard I go tomorrow for cyclocross practice. An hour of "chase the rabbit" hurts the legs and lungs pretty badly...

I see a few lamenting your projected missed goals... remember that any run/walk/water/machine movement counts this month for your goals -- did you stroll around the block with your SO, kids, or dog? tally it up!  walk to the corner store for a 6pk or quart?  enter it in!  OK, the walk down the hall to the potty won't count but if you got something else reasonable done... waddle over to the spreadsheet and put it in!

Congrats to the horsies who have already met your goals!  and giddyup the rest of you this week (and next month)
