LazyMarathoner - 2008-10-16 9:32 AM

Good morning. Another crazy day at work, I started at 8:30 (ridiculous for me, I usually start at 10:30) and worked late/stayed out late last night so I will run tonight. I'm planning 5-7 depending on the foot and ITB, another 5 tomorrow, just 2-3 Saturday and then 20 on Sunday, which should have me somewhat caught up. I hope I don't fall apart in the meantime.

If my body doesn't cooperate, I'll do some of my miles on the elliptical.

8:30??  Ohmigosh!!  *GASP*

I don't even know what to say about that...

But WTG on your workout plan... Just make sure that you don't overdo it... Elliptical sounds good.

Hey, don't pick on me I'm a freelancer so my hours are unusual and I work until 8 or later most nights so a late start is preferred by my client to control my hours, and preferred by me so I can train. It's odd, but it works really well for the most part.

Not picking on you.. I am just plain jealous! :-)

LazyMarathoner - 2008-10-16 11:23 AM I just scheduled my bike fitting! Yay!!! About 4 days after my crash, so 9 weeks ago, I bought a Cervelo P2C and I haven't even laid eyes on it yet due to my injury. But the doc and PT said I'm ready so I'm taking my new baby home next Wednesday. I could not be more excited and I can't believe that bike will finally be mine!

I'm excited for you!  Get the baby fitted!

I'm happy for you... not only to get the new baby home finally, but also that your doc is giving you a green light! That's great!

tlnewman30 - 2008-10-16 11:08 AM It's 10 AM my time and I was kicked out of the office.  So now to finish up my paper.

Paper's don't write themselves, donchaknow.  Get that thing done already.  WE NEED PADDING FOR PETE'S SAKE!

Yeah right, we NEED padding.... we are just 10,000 pages of padding ahead of everybody else. So Travis, get a move on your paper before they get us! ;-)

I'm still stuck on the trainer for a bit, but it's so much easier to want to ride my beautiful new Cervelo than my 4-year old, twice-crashed cheap road bike. I can't wait!

QueenZipp - 2008-10-16 6:41 AM Happy THursday...almost FRIDAY....Had a fantastic swim today.

That's awesome.  I am not that motivated to get a workout in first thing in the morning.

Judi is the queen of morning workouts.  I think she's already done a workout, left inspires all over BT, had some starbucks, and is hard at work before I even think about cracking open my eyes!

Ooohhhh...shiney bike!  I am a little bit jealous.  I really want to get a new bike even though my current bike is less than 6 months old.  I can't even walk into a bike store - I know I'll walk out with a bike I don't really need and probably can't afford.

I have a problem. In a momentary lapse of judgment, I bought some Hostess Cupcakes thinking I'd be tired from traveling and might need a boost. But since I ate pretty much everything else in sight, the cupcakes are now tucked away in my desk drawer and they're all I can think about. I really, really, really should not be eating them. It's like torture. Why do I do this to myself? I think I am secretly addicted to junk food.

If I have stuff in my desk or even in my pantry, that I want to eat, but shouldn't eat, I put it on the table in the middle of the office and after I blink twice the food is gone and my problem is solved. ;-)

I couldn't resist. So I ate just one and saved the other for tomorrow. I already feel a bit guilty, but my god, that was tasty.

Isn't it funny how you have good tasting but bad for you food and it just calls your name. When the food is good for you, it just waits patiently for you to remember and usually rots in the meantime. LOL

I like Hostess Ho Hos.

I like the Nutty Bars myself.  Mostly I just like peanut butter, so as long as it has that in it, I am good.

So true! That bag of baby carrots has been sitting in the fridge for 2 weeks.

I like Ho Hos as well, but I seriously love SuzyQs. There about twice as much cream in those as the cupcakes. YUM. But I did try to make the sensible choice by going with the slightly lower in fat and calories cupcakes

Wow, my 8:30am start (no laughing) is really catching up! Or is it the huge bourbon I drank right before bed? Either way, I think it's coffee time.

We bought a box of Tastee Cakes when we were out east.  It took all my will power not to eat the entire box on the plane ride home.  Sugar is delicious.

I practically lived on Mountain Dew and Nutty Bars when I was in high school.  That was my favorite pre-swim meet snack.  Ah to be 17 again.  I don't think my stomach would even tolerate that now.  I'd yack in the pool.
