Don't feel silly.  It's encouraged.  At least by me.  If that says anything

to try and work out all the kinks in my quads from yesturdays inadvertent 12.8

be back later GHOULIES to get caught up even further.....at the rate you chat, be even further behind.

RUN HAPPY!

my husband is the first to throw things out now! I love it! every so often he will make a dump run...these are becoming further and further apart as we are finally getting down to the basics! and ahhhhhhhhhhhh it feels great! I truly do not find myself cleaning much and it always looks soo sparkly clean! lovin it!

I dream of that day!! Hubby is great at throwing away others stuff! If it belongs to the kids or me it has no value but he can have 10 different screwdrivers and he needs them alllllll! Other then that he is great!

Your husband and my husband must have learned that at the same place!!!

Neal - we have some good leftovers here.  Lunch meat platter with tomatoes and all that good stuff.

I am having a bowl of tomatoes with light dressing on it now (even though I just ate at 11:30 (less than 2 hours ago))

I better workout extra hard tonight for these calories

Sounds yummy.  It appears my company needs a lesson from yours on how to provide good food for its employees, the emphasis on good.

aspeelma - 2009-10-20 5:50 PM **** Consumer Product Alert Ghoulies ****I wear orthotics so before I run I have to lube up my feet before I run or else I get blisters on the bottoms of my feet. I typically use Body Glide which works pretty well. I was out of BG so I decided I'd try some Band-Aid Friction Block that I had in my camelbak for hiking. It did not work well at all. I have a blister on the arch and the top of my right foot and on the ball of my left foot. I will be stopping tomorrow to pick up some more BG before I go out running. The Band-Aid brand stuff didn't go on nearly as well as the BG and I even questioned it in my mind before I went running.Take care of those feet Ghoulies!!!

Do you wear socks also? I have orthotics and have never lubed my feet but I have been experiencing blisters/rubbing more latley...thought I needed new orthotics...which I am sure I do just am not ready to drop another $300 on them!!

Yes, I'm a sock wearer. I wasn't until I got the orthotics. Bamboo socks seem to work the best for me, but that wasn't what I had on last night.
I had gotten my first ones at the price of $375, they were to last me 10 years. I wore them out in a year. I didn't feel like dropping that kind of money again so I was just going with the $50 Dr. Scholl's ones. I started having more and more back problems, and piriformis issues and my PT got me custom fitted for new ones. They were only $135, they are the full length, which I like, the other ones weren't and they are guaranteed for 5 years. So if I wear them out I get a new pair. They have no idea what I can do! <insert evil laugh here>

That sux that they would turn the water off!!!

soooo what did this no water teach you Neal???

hint: fuel belt would be in order for all long runs from here on out!!

Aww crap. I go out to run and look what happens! You start a new thread. I'll be back after I get caught up on what happened since this morning

way to get out and run for us Amy...and how is the carpet in the basement? Did they finish? or do we need to get ghoulish on some lame contractor?!??? hoping it is all carpeted and you are hanging out....having celebratory drinks that the carpet has now been layed! well? which is it? ghoulish on a contractor? or celebratory drinks for us all???

CELEBRATORY DRINKS!!!! Yay!!! (we had a separate contractor for the carpet....)

The nasty contractor is off the hook for the moment. The city passed the inspection on the electrical and framing and fire breaks and whatnot, based on the photos I took as they were doing the building. Not an inch of drywall had to be removed after we fought with the inspectors/building office at the city. Not a finger raised by the contractor. Well, they did show up to the meeting with the inspector in my basement...

SO...yay for new carpet!!

Now where's my celebratory drink????

did you say drink??? how about drink"S"???????

here you go girl...this these ones (are) for you:

remember to not chug a lug...or this may happen:

or even worse this:

CHEERS ON YOUR NEW CARPET! and getting permits!

SALUTE~~ HERE HERE!!!

Crap! 13 y.o daughter "needs" my computer. Some weird thing she calls "homework". What is this strange thing, I ask?

Be back later.

what homework...they still do that????

Did teenagers ever do homework? At 7:30 pm tonight, as she started on the poster presentation she has to turn in tomorrow, I reminded her that there is such a thing as the "I hope you have one just like you" curse. And she's Exhibit A!

I love playing that game! Last year my son (then in 5th grade) put me through the wringer trying to get him to finish his report/poster for the state of Iowa. Definitely payback for youthful procrastination on my part! This year has been much better though.

I got worse as I got older. It didn't really show on my report cards until my Senior year. I fear that this is just the beginning.

at least you went....my parents used to say...we would drop you off at school...you would go in one door and out the other....

and I used to ask...were you over there at the other door I was heading out or something??? how did you know?

parents answer: school would call...is Julie sick? shes not at school!

DARN SCHOOL RATTTING ON ME!!!

can I help it that I liked the beach better then my senior year at school!!!!

PLUS ~~~~ life is a beach is it not!!!???

not sure why my parents grounded me for so long...guess they didnt get that memo!

I have to get my fill today since I won't be around tomorrow.

Someone wished me to go aquajogging in a freezing lake so I will Canadaigua Lake tomorrow without a wetsuit just to please these crazy people.  brrrrr!

Um... I never said FREEZING. What I said was a VERY VERY COLD lake. It was strictly for therapeutic reasons, to... uh... prevent further aggravation and... um... reduce swelling. There, see.

Feet are sore and I'm running a bit of a fever I came home from work early and took a 4 hour nap. 2 hours for each of us, how do you like them apples. I disconnected the phone line beforehand, too. I'm thinking I'm going to take today as a rest day instead of Friday.

How many miles do you have to go yet? Would you really want to aquajog that? UG!
I think he should do it all outside in a very very cold lake

I fixed that for you

Ann,

You know there is shrinkage in cold water

shrinkage? not sure what you talking about!!! please, tell me more!!!
