My longest run ever (by almost 2 miles) and although the legs were a bit heavy after yesterday's pace work, I still had enough for a victory lap around the neighborhood after my 2-loop run. Oh and Bill, Kim, THANKS for the brinner idea. Pancakes with peanut butter sounds about as close to heaven as can be right now. 8.4 mil....LONGEST RUN EVER....TOM. YOU ROCK!!! way to go! how were the pancakes? stacieb I actually ended up making French Toast with strawberries and blackberries on the side, and it was AWESOME! ok. you had me at French Toast. seriously. WHEN i come to Casa de Tom for brinner, you MUST make me THAT. :P stacieb Anytime. Just say when and I'll make sure we have enough eggs, milk, bread, and nutmeg to go around! |

My 23 mile commute this morning took TWO HOURS. Now, I have to turn right back around to get home in time to get my wife to her doctor. The fun part about that is that this doctor isn't even in the same AREA CODE as us. Argh. This afternoon will be a really good ST session I think... Tom - just look at the weather and maybe that will make it seem better! While I don't have a problem with the weather here today, apparently a couple inches of rain and wind gusting all the way up to 25 mph is cause for panic among these poor Socal-ites. Oh well. Days like this just require going with th eflow and watching out for idiots more than anything. |

I am at work now, but I'm leaving a bit early today for my job interview. Tonight I have a 5 mile run planned. It is supposed to snow sometime today, not sure when, but I think it is toward evening or overnight. |

It is supposed to snow sometime today, not sure when, but I think it is toward evening or overnight. What's on tap today? A blizzard!! We're supposedly getting anywhere from 4-10 inches of the white stuff and winds are supposed to pick up in the 25-35 mph range with gusts up to 50. The plan is to leave work early, get a quick swim in, and then hunker down for the evening. |

Champion 10742 Ames, IA | Subject: RE: The Ghoulie's: We Are Doing What We Are Loving December Challenge wgraves7582 - 2009-12-08 6:21 AM So last night I take the kiddos off to the Y while the wife was at a bible study with her friends. We get home and go to unlock our door and the key that we stash is missing. I don't carry keys with me - I hate them - so I hide the car ones and we have a "regular" place for the key (1 of 2). I call the house where she is (which is only 2 minutes away) and no one answers - I leave a message and start driving over there. She calls me back and asks me where my key is. Ummm honey we have been in this house how long and I have never carried keys. Why is the key not where it always is? I moved it is her reply. Well do you think it would be a good idea to tell someone that???????? Turn around and search for a couple more minutes before we find it. I thought I was going to explode and I am probably in trouble for yelling at her while she was with her friends. What is wrong with that picture folks?????? Thanks for listening - where is my brother when I need someone to punch??? - LOL Geez, Bill. Aren't you supposed to intuitively know these things? |
