We don't trust her enough to leave her inside. My replacement running shoes came yesterday and they were lying in the front yard when I got home. The box was down in the far corner of the yard. She didn't eat the shoes, she just drug them through the mud and got grass stains on them. |

Elite 3144 | Subject: RE: Ghoulie March (STILL BIKING) Madness!!! Good afternoon gang. I got 24 miles on the bike today. I cut it short by a few miles due to the wind but still got a good workout in. Heading east I was going into about 25-30 mph winds and I just felt like a big sail on my bike, even in the drops. Talk about burning quads! I also did a quick ST session with my son which was a lot of fun. Only 15 minutes worth but at least it was something. I've been slacking on ST lately so I need to get back in the habit. Hopefully I can fit in at least 2 sessions per week. Next week is my first "recovery" week so my mileage will go down a bit, but I'm doing my first 1000m time trial in the pool and my first brick which will be interesting. I hope everyone's having a good weekend! Edited by iowagander 2010-03-27 3:40 PM |

We are doing a virtual walk to San Diego. I signed up because I know of a place to stay there! Tom, I'll be there by the end of April. In the mean time, send that mango mater recipe! Sounds like fun! Can I ride there? - LOL I've seen the virtual trackers. I've thought of setting one up. Of course I'd rather go to SD and meet Tom in person. I'm pretty sure I've promised him beer and wings sometime. If I go out to Phoenix next January I am making the drive to see him. Anyone want to run a full or half marathon next January in Phoenix with me? That sounds FUN. It will depend on finances, though. Put me on the definite maybe list. Maybe we could get Tom or Amy on board, too. Did somebody say my name??? hehehe. Put me on the definite maybe list as well. |

The nice thing about out here vs. your neck of the woods is at least here the wind tends to stay in one direction. I feel for you because when those winds get going they go every which way. |

Champion 10742 Ames, IA | Subject: RE: Ghoulie March (STILL BIKING) Madness!!! Well the rain stayed away so I got in a short ride and run today. Unlike Tom, my recovery week is wrapping up. Time to hit it hard again next week. I think I still have 90 miles left to go for the bike challenge but I don't think that will be too much of a problem. |

That sounds REALLY good. I wish I had a better grill. If I did I'd use that thing all the time. Maybe I can upgrade this summer... In the meantime, I'm thinking pasta and salad here. Maybe some chicken... |
