deehtz - 2010-09-10 11:13 AM And I think everyone else is away.  Hope you are all having fun!!

I am sitting here with my puppy curled up in the chair next to me.  She was watching out the window, but now she is napping.  She has already eaten, been for a walk in the park, played fetch in the house, etc.

We lost our older dog (lab mix, 12 years old) very suddenly right after our vacation a couple of weeks ago.  We still miss her terribly.  The puppy keeps us entertained but I think she also misses the big dog.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog, Dee.

deehtz - 2010-09-10 11:16 AM On the bright side, we had an absolutely wonderful little vacation.  4 nights at the beach in southern Oregon.  Huge sand dunes at the national (or maybe state?) park.  Wonderful weather, 3 great days of riding our atvs on the dunes, beautiful views, lots of fun with good friends!  Smile

WOOHOO!!!

ironannekidd - 2010-09-10 8:44 AM Good morning Ghoulies!

I stayed home today. Right now I'm tucked in under 2 warm blankets and I'm all comfy on my favorite recliner.

I think I may be a few F's short of four this Friday.

The day is young!

Well I do have the sexy Kathleen Turner voice. I think it's the coughing though that is the turn off.

THAT made me laugh!

But I am sorry that you are not feeling well.  healing vibes going your way!

Does this mean I am in trouble Melindy????

I think that was only if it snows Bill.

Hey Kendra, how is the "NOT to be messed with"  Librarian today?

three of the seven tried to come back to the library yesterday.  They were greeted by me and escorted off library property.  Other than that, it was a fairly quiet afternoon.  I guess word got around.

Silly kids.

I've got a vision of you, steely eyed, saying in a low voice that raises hair on the back of their little pimply necks, "C'mon in... Make my day"!

Yeah, that is quite a vision!  Go get 'em, Kendra!

My DH, who is a long haired ex-hippy, is having his pony tail cut tonight to donate for locks of love at the relay for life. This is gonna be interesting..

Later Ghoulies.

Cool that he is donating his hair.  And on that note, how do you run for politics with long hair?

It was fairly a non-issue for the 10 years he was Mayor but the constituency for the State house in this area is.. well... shall we say... hmmmmm..... a little bit straight laced.

I'm not allowed to ride ATV's any longer.  I tend to park them on their read end up a tree, or go head over heels rolling down the hill, leaving me in the dust.  Amazing that i'm still around to talk about it.

Glad to hear you had a good time though.

Sorry to hear about your older dog.  If puppy needs company, Anne had a big puppy to play with.

Hi Ghoulies. Had a busy day today so just now checking in. I am going down to the shore tomorrow with some friends, so I got my long run done today. All in all, it went ok but did have a creepy moment. About a mile and a half from home my hammy was cramping a bit, so I stopped to stretch. The road I was on is not terribly busy but a guy driving a van stopped to ask if I was ok. I told him thanks, but I was fine. He didn't leave. Kept saying I didn't look fine....well, I'd run 14.5 miles. So, yeah I looked like carp. After he ignored my "I'm fine, thank-you's" about 4 times I was starting to get nervous. Thankfully another car stopped and he left. I'm sure he was probably just a nice man who was genuinely concerned, but I was very glad I had my mace on my fuel belt.
