I am NOT a long distance person.
I like 3- 5 or 6 miles. That seems to be a distance that I can find time to do.

wgraves7582 - 2010-10-06 8:50 AM I can tell you this much - 3 is the most I have run in 12+ months until last Thursday when I did 5 miles.  The only reason I hurt was because of the pace - outside of that my body was completely fine with the extra 2 miles

Bill, that is great that you did 5 and were ok. Maybe your hip is going to cooperate and let you get back to longer distances. Yes?

I think the weather has now reached the point where I am going to switch the closets out. Maybe this afternoon. Maybe tomorrow. I have lost all sense of urgency when it comes to house projects.

The problem with those longer distances is how long they take. I, too want to get faster. Then I can go farther without having to invest a whole day.

Nothing wrong with that Robin. Nothing at all. I kind of like 10k races, but there just don't seem to be many of them around here.

It has not bothered me at all lately - it used to flare up even while walking.

Tomorrow is another step and we will see what happens.  I just wish I had my own aqua jogging pool   Go longer than 20 minutes at a time would probably help also

Well, aqua jogging is just about the most boring activity I've ever undertaken. 20 minutes is a loooong time to be vertical in the pool. Glad the hip is behaving.

I was just discussing clothes with a female coworker - I am going to Kohls tonight to get some sweater vests, pink/purple/baby blue shirts, some new shoes, shaving my beard, getting a mani/pedi next week from my neice, and de-greying my hair some

the only thing that breaks it up is the punk kids that I have to dodge because they think they own the whole pool - which I do!!!!

Because you don't swim in the same pool I do, I will suggest that this would be a good time to practice aiming your snot rockets.

Speaking of wrong, it's story time again.

There is a kid who works here in another building that I've worked with before so we chat throughout the day. He sent me a message this morning and asked if he'd told me about his neighbors dogs. I told him that he had not. He told me he has elderly neighbors who leave their dogs out in the yard at night and they bark at everything and keep him up. He told me he got up last night and opened the gate and the one dog ran off. He asked me if he was evil.

I told him he wasn't evil, but he was pretty damn childish and inconsiderate. I asked him if he'd spoken with his neighbors about the barking. He said they wouldn't have done anything. I said how do you know they won't do anything. Again I asked if he had spoken to the neighbors. He said he hadn't, but it was the best thing for the neighborhood for this dog to be gone. Then he told me he was a dog lover.

I told him that wasn't his decision to make and asked if he was going to pay for vet bills of something happened to the dog.

I was pretty ticked off and I closed the chat window, and the entire chat program. I can't express in words how mad the whole conversation made me. I'd be devastated if one of my dogs was missing. If they're elderly they may not be able to go out and look for their dog. He never said how elderly they were. I'm just upset that 1) he let the dog loose and doesn't care that it's gone, and 2) He never took any steps up to that point to try and rectify the situation.

Grrrrrr!

I am getting in my car and driving up there to kick his butt! The cowardly little chit! To weenie to go and face the people and evil enough to cause harm to the dog and heart ache to the neighbors.

I am going to taze him, as well.
