I am heading out for the evening. Tomorrow is my day off so a run or bike then yardwork before it gets sweltering.

Run, done. That's 4 in the last 7 days. I can't remember the last time I had that kind of week - feels great!

Also, I scheduled an OWS up in La Jolla for next Thursday with a friend of mine. This guy could literally swim laps around me, so hopefully I can get some pointers from him. He claims that the water is tolerable without a wetsuit right now, but he's a seal and therefore inhuman. I think it may be a good time to ask the LBS about their demo deal...

Good morning, Ghoulies!

We had some nasty storms rip through the area again last night. No tornados this time, but still some damage. We had larger than marble size hail at my house, but I wasn't home at the time. There were some downed trees, and in the county next to us a roof was blown off of a house. A 13 year old Amish boy was struck by lightning and killed while working out in a field with his father.

Wow, Ann! So sorry about the teen. That is too tragic. We have had the same storms all around us but none right here. Matter of fact, we are having a localized drought and people a mile away are complaining of too much rain! I am trying to save trees. The DH and I sat on the porch watching the wind and lightening all around us last night.

I am letting things settle then getting a run in. Then out to do some yard work before the heat sinks in.

I got my run in. A little later than I had planned so it is already hotter than hades out there. I am sure there are tons of other chores for me to get into.
