Yeah... there better be effing cake. And I don't want to be held a cake hostage either ... cut that cake early and let us nom it ... don't wait until the end!! No cake .. no TJ! preach sista... So you've been held cake hostage too? Whenever I go to a party I want that cake out there ASAP ... so if I want to leave I can stuff my face and get the hell out their house. Oh yeah. I sit there, gazing over to the cake longingly (because most of the time, dinner is too small anyways) while listening to speeches droll on and on or slide shows roll. You know what would make speeches more enjoyable? Being about to stuff my pie hole with cake WHILE they are giving them... Beer makes speeches more enjoyable for me. Like when they were doing my intervention it was blaw blaw blaw so if it wasn't for the booze I was drinking I would have never made it though. Best thing about my wedding (for the guests) was the open bar, including shots... I wanted EVERYONE blitzed and completely full on good food. It's supposed to be a party, not some cerimony/formal thing. I let the wife have control on just about everything, but I had serious input on the food and the booze. Mine was the BEST wedding I ever went to. And I'm not just saying that because it was mine. Lots of people said the same thing. We kept it moving and lots of fun and drinks and food. NO down time. We had a great DJ who also did magic for the kids. Go Go dancers (our friends) who dressed up in skimpy bride and groom outfits. Kept everyone's tummy happy with coctails and apps while all the photos were being taken. The wedding and the reception were in the same place, so people didn't need to drive all around and could start the drinking immediately after the "I do's". Shuttle service to the hotel so peolple could get back safe... |
