I let Gordon take his lightsaber in the car with him when we went to Madge's preschool pickup (because he was sick, because I felt bad for hiim...).  He rolled down the window and chucked it out.  This thing is awsome...lights up and makes noise when you use it.  Had to double back and run out to get it.  I've always got to learn things the hard way ---- no more lightsabers on road trips.

Unemployment is getting boring as hell. I'm going stir-crazy!

Plus I don't even really want to "plan" for any upcoming events (centuries or runs) in the near future in case I get something soon and then have to cancel it, losing the entry fees.

I am.  It's not easy to juggle the needs of a 6 year old, 4 year old, 3 year old, and 19 month old.  Try it for a day.  You'll see what I'm talking about

Question for y'all.  I'm putting together an order for Hartford Track Club gear.  I'm looking into ordering running hats, winter hats, socks, short and long sleeve technical shirts and jackets.

Am I missing anything?  Is there anything else you tihnk I should look into?

Two hours ago I had to go on scene to a sudden death of our JC college men's baskeball coach. 31 years old. I considered him a friend. Today it sucked to be a reporter.  Reminds me that being involved in athletics does not guarentee a long life.

6.5 miles in the pitch dark this morning. I did have a light but still a little freaky. It's very rural here, I think 2 street lights on that route and not many houses. Major concern was dogs more than anything else.

Around here I worry about skunks.....they're overpopulated and running all around.  I think the city of Cleveland Heights released a bunch of them when the area had a problem with rats.....now we have a problem with skunks.  LOL

Anyway, good for you for heading outside so early.  I want to do the same, but I'm frightened.  It's so dark at 5!
