jarvy01 - 2012-12-17 9:07 AM I love it, Scott!  She is precious.

I actually used the phrase "You had fun and that's all that matters" on Saturday.  Made me question my sanity for a second.

Carrie - have you had a chance to try your underwater mp3? Do you like it? What kind is it?

Does anyone else have an underwater music device? Like it or not? I need some serious help to get back in the water after the new year.

I'm also very curious about swimming mp3 options. The only thing that gets me in the water is masters or open water swimming. Swimming laps on my own is the most boring thing ever. I'm more interested in the headphones and how they work. Wouldn't the music sound all garbled?

All - I went to use the ipod/shuffle on Friday, got to the pool and it was closed for a swim meeet ... argh.

Maybe I will try again tonight instead of the bike and try it out.  I can say that I that I have the finis that sits on your jawbone and I had the speedo MP3 as well.  The finis actually has pretty good sound, but it is fairly bulky and sits on your cheeks bones and the sound transfers through there and there is no earphones.  The speedo clipped on your goggles and the earphones were not always that good and so the sound was often muffled.  The problem with both is that neither hooked up to itunes, you actually had to finaggle your way into copying MP3 songs (in the right format) onto those devices.  Pain in the butt!

The waterproof ipod, is an apple shuffle that has been waterproofed.  It also has a 2 year warranty on it.  It is super tiny and clips on your goggle strap. Haven't used in the water yet so can't speak on the sound, but anything better than counting laps is better for me.  It is nice that it hooks up to itunes and you can change lists ... something I could not do on the others easily.

Interesting Carrie. I was looking into the finis one. I will wait for your review on the iPod first.

I think all this experience warrants a serious written review.

I don't use music for anything.  I hate things in my ears (goes back to getting a willow stuck in my ear when I was 3 and having to have it surgically removed).

Oh what the hell.  Might as well.  Where else would I shoot the _______ ?

Trainer ride at lunch for me.  Low cadence intervals.  Cindy left a to do list that needs doing before we get on a plane Saturday next to the computer.  Coincidence??? I think not.

I did 1600 in the pool last night doing fist drills. It was the first time back in the pool since right before the Oly in August. I actually surprised myself and felt pretty good. I am sore this morning though. Got my Z1 run in and going to enjoy the beautiful day we have here.

A willow.  It was soft and I was rubbing my ear with it and it slipped in and when I tried to get it out I pushed it waaaayyyy deep into my ear.

Yard cut, movies burning to cpu to be transferred to Kindles.  Cleaning Bathrooms (don't know how I got stuck with that job 11 years ago) and vacuuming still on the list

Our house has been struck with some disgusting plague.....cold, sore throats, runny noses, digestive distress, etc.  I woke up this morning feeling fine, but now I'm coming down with cold/throat symptoms.  Seriously?  Also, the doctor thinks I have stomach ulcers, so I begin treatment for those today.  He is getting me in to see the gastro guy this week, so I can get a scope.  He thinks there's a good chance my GI symptoms indicate celiacs or IBS in addition to the ulcers, and he wants a better look.  I just want answers.

Question -----  I am getting my husband 3 tickets to see the Cavaliers, and I am putting them in his stocking.  He's expressed interest in taking the older 2 boys to a game now that they're playing basketball.  I would like to surprise him.  Only 2 options that work are Orlando Magic and Denver Nuggets.  Which would be the better game?  I don't know anything about professional basketball!  Help, please!!!!
