I just did my first wetsuit swim ever, and I really enjoyed it! A fish actually took a strike at my toe! Seriously. It must have been that sparkly nail polish. I blogged a bit on the subject in my log today. I just love training; I never stop learning things.

Got some great training sessions in this weekend, 50 mile bike ride with 4300ft elevation gain on Saturday, 6 mile run and 1/2 hour swim today. I'm a little under on my swim goal so far, but will easily make it up this coming week since it is a swim focus week. I'm well over on my bike goal, and right where I should be on the run. Shouldn't be a problem making my goals this month. Here's a picture from the top of my bike ride Sat. Kind of fun to be able to play in the snow when it's 80 degrees

view from Going to the Sun Road

that looks awesome! PARADISE! I used to love to ride my mtn bike in the snow!! WOW and look at the elevation gain! YOU GO RONI!!!!

YES INDEED! time to hit those trails, treadmills, hills, mtns, paths...and run - head for the pool, lake, bay, ocean, pond, river, creek, crick, reservoir, slough, bayou, swamp...and go for a swim - and to jump on those bikes and ride ride RIDE! come on west coast sisters/brothers we need to show them how it is done!

Everyone needs to be inspiring each other...go on the spreadsheet and see who it is that needs those special inspires...and those that are not at 100% should maybe get an inspire too! lets go team! FIRE UP!!!

Wet suit and swimming in the ocean helps you float better, your the second person who has told me in the last few days that a fish nibbled on them, the other peroson was feeding it, fish do like sparkily objects, I know becasue we like to fish.  At least it was a fish and not, I will not mention the dreaded S word.

nice job on your race, Nancy! you rocked that race! too bad the ref stayed with you thru most of the race - and that the course was not just a bit wider so that the riders did not bunch up -causing that dumb draft rule!! I am with Karen on the 2nd place...that ref sounds like he needed an attitude adjustment!! I say to paint that metal silver!

Hi everyone-

Just got back from two days of lacrosse tournaments with my daughters and realized that I neglected to check everyone's numbers on the spreadsheet. I offered and then didn't follow thru...so I apologize for that.

What's up with this 3rd place thing? Us westerners can do way better than that! Hope everyone is well and training hard. Let's push this thing to the max and blow by those other folks that live in places way way less kewl then where we do.

Hey James...thanks for the offer...but if you want to help...how about making a sheet with each persons name and then where they are in all the various workouts...for example

gpol...swim 60% run 60% and bike 90% strength...??? (these are not my true numbers but just an example)

if you could do this with the highest numbers on the top of the chart and the lowest numbers on the bottom we can help to motivate those of us who are not quite up to the spot they should be at this point in the challenge...this has seemed to help in past challenges....if you can not do this...just reply and I will do it this afternoon!

Hope everyone is having a good Monday! time to AMP up your workouts...even if you are Leslie and kicking butt at 80%...we need to all shoot for 100% and 110% if possible! LETS GO TEAM! come on if I can ride, run and even swim after a major wreck on my bike over the weekend...you guys can at least try and get to those goals! GO GO GO!!!! if you have been sick or injured let us know and we can adjust your times. But all others....get those buns in gear and go train! no excuses! sorry if that sounds harsh, but I do remember us saying the West is the Best team...I TOTALLY think we are, but we have some major numbers to make up! and we need each and everyone of you to get to your goals you set a few weeks ago!

Will do....one summary table coming up!!!!

Congrats to everyone doing so well...I have an 8 mile run and 15 mile bike tonight and I did 2600 in the pool yesterday, five mile run, and a ten mile bike. So what I've learned? Don't overestimate. I am screwed by my goals...16500 yards/175 miles/100 miles....I'm trying.
