TinkerBeth 23096 Liverpool, New York | Subject: RE: Cheesecake Lovers I've decided (with the help of some friends and people that are way smarter than me) to not adjust my training plan at this point, adding in more running would just make me susceptible to injury and since I spent almost all of last year working through injury........... so, I'm just going to Du the best I can I'm sort of coming at this from a very strange angle - the majority of my bike training has been in spinning class (due to the commute), I've made a ton of progress in the running department, and I've maintained performance in the swim (which of course in this case doesn't really apply - other than for overall fitness) I'm just going to enjoy the atmosphere - they did a great job last year! I'm going to enjoy the people long story short, I'm going to make the best of it (for the record, it took me a little bit to get ot this point ) |

The 'trial' run today...20 min open water (it's gorgeous today), hopefully out at Baker Park Reserve this afternoon (site of the HIM)...20 min bike - just go through all the gears, put on my Bento box (fill it full of good nutrition , Hammer gels and such), make sure I've got all my Allen wrenches, cartridges, tire levers...20 min run... Take a nap, wedding reception tonight, pick up race packet, put the rack on the car, and get a GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP... |

Good luck on the new DU. I actually prefer DU's because you get to challenge yourself with a fun run twice instead of only 1 time! Next weekend so are you going through the Taper Blues next week? thanks - it will be fun, I hope I rarely use fun and run in the same sentence - lol now fun and swim, that's a different story! |

Veteran 194 Denver, CO | Subject: RE: Cheesecake Lovers Good luck to everyone racing this weekend! And to everyone else, happy training! I've got a busy weekend - first OWS with a wetsuit tomorrow morning (yikes!), long bike and long run sometime during the weekend, and volunteering at a sprint tri on Sunday. Plus, I'm hoping to hit up a local art sale to find some artwork for my home and office. Never a dull moment... |

Master 3479 Utah | Subject: RE: Cheesecake Lovers I think I've lived in Utah too long...every time I hear someone talk a bout a race on Sunday, I do a double take. The whole concept seems so foreign. Growing up, there were only a handful of gas stations and grocery stores that stayed open on Sundays. Things have gotten a lot better as I've aged. |

I remember being in Virginia in 1995 for the Navy and the malls were closed on Sunday's! This have definitely changed for sure! Wonder where the Bible Belt is defined as today? Maybe our Pastor's waist line? (Get it I made a funny!) hehe! that was kind of funny! |
