Geez oh pete!  I have had a busy day.  I got my stoopid drainer ride done early then ran to the pool (well not really run but you know ) swam for just over an hour (ugh), ran home and packed a picnic lunch to take to the park, went to the park, the kids played/I chatted for two hours, came home, showered, ran to Cole's first eval appointment.  Finally home and finished with dinner and I'm tired!  Hope you all had a great superhero day!

GOOD MORNING X-MEN.

happy to report my FIRST OF FOUR BRICKS went splendidly last night.

30 min swim WOOSH.  i need to look back in my trng log but i do believe its the longest CONTINUOUS swim ive ever done, 1450 yds.  well almost continuous except for the minute it took me to go under the lane markers and switch lanes when the TRIM SWIM class came in.  but continuous cept for that.

i honestly felt the best ive felt in for a long distance/endurance swim like that.   and made an Oly Tri seem that much more reasonable   not that i have one scheduled, but....at least i KNOW now i could do one should i choose to take on the challenge.  THATs a good feeling.

and 60 spin.  QUADRUPLE WOOSH.  im not sure if our spin instructor WANTS to 'break' us or what, but man oh man.  the last two-three weeks of workouts shes been T-O-U-G-H.  [even her husband who was taking the class 'complained']  it was an interval workout so im not sure that it was the 'best' prep for race day, but i kept telling myself that the mini im doing on the 26th was gonna be a SLICE OF PIE compared to this brick, so i preserved.   and felt DARN proud of myself for finishing strong.

i have a 34 min swim today, im gonna use it for recovery, focusing my attention/energy on THURS BRICK - bike to run.  im planning on heading to the park and doing it outside to try and simulate race day conditions as much as possible.  ive done this type of brick before and its a bugger thats for sure.  that bike to run transition is a 'toughie'.

but anything challenging is worth doing.  the feeling of accomplishment afterwards IS worth it.

ONWARDANDUPWARD!

LUCKY YOU!!   My crew goes back on Monday.  I really do enjoy them being home for a bit with the weather being sooooo nice on Friday, I wish they were in school so I could ride in the afternoon.  Oh well, next week will be here before I know it.  I am enjoying the break from the school more than they are I think!  No phone calls, e-mails or conferences for an entire week is FABULOUS!  Just what I need to make it to the summer!

yea i hear ya, ERICA.  when theyre home it IS easier in some ways - no lunches to pack, back packs to get ready. i dont have to wake anyone up in the morning, breakfast and getting dressed happens 'whenever'....

but i do love a quiet house.

Yep her name is Raven ( I think Judy (QueenZipp) came up with it) and I liked it so I kept it...

Are there pictures of your bike in your album?  I will have to go check and see if I am inspired

Yeah but it's not a very good picture.  I should do something about that.

I think it's a boy bike.  Still not sure though.

MORNIN' X-MEN.

a gloriously sunny day here in Western PA.  were supposed to have a high of 60.  wooo hooo.

heading out in a bit to do my brick at the Park, bike to run.  id prefer to go to the limestone trail, but im trying to simulate race day conditions as much as possible esp to experience that bike to run 'transition' in my legs - so its off to the asphalt terrain at the park.

then im going to get my STRUCTURAL FINGERPRINT EXAM done at the chiropractor.  im hoping to glean some good info even today on how to best go about correcting some of my biomechanical imbalances and relieve some of the pressure ive been placing on my lft foot [which resulted in the neuroma....]

im hopeful that well have some alternative trmts to injections and surgery.

HAPPY TRNG TODAY EVERYONE!
