Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: Ghoulies October: Team BT I've been on a safety kick lately. There are three places I usually ride/run. One by work, one between work and home, and one by where I live. I found out last week that a woman was attacked on the trail by where I work and another on the trail between work and my house. Both are busy trails so it surprised me that someone would even attempt it plus one of the attacks took place about the same time that I would have been in the area on my way home. I definitely need to pay more attention to what is going on around me. Be safe out there ladies. I would hate to have something happen to any of you. |

It is 57* this morning in Oklahoma and it is time for me to put on the running shorts and go for the run I skipped last night. Have a good one. Stacie Sounds like the perfect running weather. Enjoy your run and be safe. Oh Stacie what a PIGLET PUP in the Pics thread ... you can SEE how soft his fur is!!! Thanks Yanti - so not a photographer but loved that pic of him. His brother that we lost earlier this year LOVED to be photographed. I am hoping this one has that as well. Here is the one I absolutely love but didn't know if it fit the "shadow" theme. BTW - I have stared at your picture for hours this morning. It is SOOOO cool. Love those eyes. |

My azz is too darn fat for my jeans and it took far too long to fasten them today. |

Master 2042 Albany, NY | Subject: RE: Ghoulies October: Team BT OK, I'm going to go MIA for a while... Even though it's still pouring outside, I need to break free from this place for a while and get some real food. I'm boycotting the PB&J my DH keeps packing for me every day. I KNOW I should just feel grateful to be spoiled and have my lunch packed for me, but what part of "After 10,000 days of PB&J, I can not eat ONE more" is not clear? |

We are not out the 1200 we put in for all the routine stuff!! Wow that's amazing. I've never heard of an insurance company volunteering to do something like that. It sure helps when you need to get a car. Not that it will be enough to buy a new one but every little bit helps. Watch our car dealerships. Judi needs a new car and she's gonna have cash. |

Master 1623 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies October: Team BT TriAya - 2010-10-06 4:51 AM Y'all ... I live the weirdest life. (Judi's like, yeah, uh hum, tap tap tap, so? This is news?) Sooo ... I'm spozed to do a quiet little run to my folks' house, take care of immigration/work permit papers at the main office in Jakarta, did that the morning I arrived, and pretty much snoozed because I was still getting over being sick the rest of the time. Of COURSE, the day I'm to depart, we got some CRAZY SHYTE going on!!! I try to sort through a box or drawer of stuff each time I'm home (my mom's stuff, photos and the like mostly). My sister does too. So I'm ploughing my way through piles of [okay, not BORING, but ... uh ... cultural stuff, actually it's really fascinating and so many extraordinary shots in places among peoples that simply don't exist anymore] of prints, when ... I come across a REALLY decrepit manila envelope. I pick it up, and EWWWWW! Piles of yellow dust and the bodies of dead weevils spill out onto my running shorts. Blech. But what's this? A packet of really old black and white prints. Some even with curvy edges. Cute. Oh look, that's ... my brother! When he was a tiny baby! How cute. Paw paw paw. Oh look, that's ... Dwight D. Eisenhower? And that brown good looking dude next to him ... why that's my father's uncle! And they're at a dining table in a home! Who's that ... no, no, this must be taken from a book ... JFK?!?!? Getting a haircut? WHOA! That's Sukarno (Indonesia's first president) laughing with him in the barbershop! And ... OMG, that's my dad--he looks like 18! Actually he's in his mid-30s, but ... Nixon ... Nixon! No, he isn't president yet ... that's in California! Photo after photo after photo, my father's long career in U.S.-Indonesian and world politics unfolding before my eyes. I can't believe it. And it's just been sitting in this crummy envelope in this drawer of this dank cabinet in a corner of the upstairs living room. I gotta put these in a protected location! These are priceless! So I'm frantically posting on BT about how I might store the photos; is there some sort of neutral material I can put them in now, in a hurry (I gotta leave in a couple hours!)? Answers. Good. Now, to remember the combination and find the key to the fireproof safe in the humidity/temp controlled room .... oh shatz. There's only one person who knows where that key is, and it's my mother. And she has Alzheimer's and she don't remember a damned thing. This is how my morning started. Then it got interesting Now I'm sitting at the airport, there's a hella storm breaking, and I'm watching the lightning sizzle and dance onto the lightning rods on top of the terminals. Kewl. That's gonna be my plane, fairly soon. I hope. All the flights have been delayed, every last one. I've NEVER seen the airport crowded like this. And it was because of a phone call I made on the way to the airport. Silly me. This is so cool!! I know nothing about storing/preserving photos so I can't help you there but it's awesome that you found them!! |

Well then I guess you can get practice with Whack-a Ghoul Stacie - be nice we are all BT'ers at the end of the day - just not this month! I am being nice.. Sorry... |
