So, I'm a miserable, miserable person without my coffee in the morning.  I already knew that I couldn't have anything to eat or drink after midnight tonight  - fine.  But I just got my surgery time - surgery isn't scheduled until 1 pm.

What the HECK am I going to do with NO coffee all morning????  Don't get me wrong, I get it.  I don't want to be puking during surgery...  but 1 pm???  Don't these people realize what a witch I am my 1 pm with no coffee???

Good Luck!!

Celebrated St. Patricks Day/Spring Break last night.  Great night with all my friends.  Honestly I'm amazed I made it out for a run this morning.  Shins and Achilles felt great running today and James ran with me.  I'm leaving for the beach this afternoon.  A whole week of tanning and running on the beach

first off i just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their support.
secondly you know you are special when your doctor sees you, cringes, and says wow i have never seen a person with that much damage before and takes lots of pictures as proof.!!!! so the bottom line from wednesday is that phase one of my treatment-even though i now look like i have the worst sunburn x1000-has gone as planned. all of the pain will be worth it according to my doctor. all of the sun damage and cancer has been eliminated. round two is in may for some nasty melanoma.
thanks again to everyone.

I rode my bike to PT again  Wink

We started some progressive strengthening tonight. A baby step toward the return to run.  This makes me happy.

Fingers crossed!

QueenZipp - 2011-03-18 8:16 AM Yoga class today....haven't taken a formal class in a very long time.  It was okay, there were only 3 of us in the class so the instructor had a good bit of time to make sure our poses were okay.

How did it go other than the cold?

Yes--Crusher Love for Rhoda today!!!

so what's the weekend haps, peeps?

I got out for a 20-minute walk today. Precious. Have a headache now, though.

And my armpit itches. I hope it is not fleas.

My recently flared foot injuries are almost dormant now... so I'm going climbing tonight! I was worried because on Monday I couldn't do a calf press... and that's kind of necessary when climbing. I can calf press with limited difficulty now, so I've cleared myself for take off. Tomorrow morning hot yoga, same foot deal as today - just to be careful and listen to the body. On Sunday I have a 10km race... there's the problem. I plan to walk most but have a feeling I will run a little, again focusing on the body. On Monday I hope to take my new boots hiking! The hiking is extra motivation not to overdo it on Sunday's "run". Chiropodist on Friday!!

Yanti, you just crack me up!

Thanks for the Crusher love everyone.  They got me in and out pretty quickly.  I'm now chillin' with my sweet 4 year old and a princess movie.  She take such good care of her mama!  I feel good, although my fingers and hand are still half numb.  And I think I'm not doing too bad left handed so far!

Did you make it to 1pm in one piece ?

Tomorrow...  Tonight I'm just unhappy "celebrating" St Patricks Day minus a pint o' beer.  Oh well.  My black cherry seltzer is pretty tasty I guess.  Undecided

You can't have BEER? Whaddaya mean, no chugging a few pints between 11pm and midnight? they said nothing after midnight, soooo ... that should be fine, riiiiiiight?

I like the way you think.

hehe, they specifically said no alcohol after 6pm...  I didn't even make it home last night until 5:50 or so...  Cry  I'm going to have my own belated St Pattys day later.  Laughing

A fun weekend of training is planned for me!  I will be doing a 45 mile ride in the pouring rain on Saturday and an 11ish mile run in the pouring rain on Sunday.  Today, I ran on the treadmill while it was pouring rain outside.

Question for you Rhoda. If I remember right, you and your hubby were considering buying an apple orchard a while back. How did things work out with that? I don't remember hearing how things worked out.

I really think Disneyland should be listed as an activity in the training log. A full day can leave a person pretty wiped out.
