P.S. YES!!! You weigh more than I do right now! (This will be a brief reversal, but I'm enjoying it while it lasts).

No making out on the bus?

I wonder what would make you ask that.

Well, its kind of like a requirement, you know?

Just for teenagers?

I didn't want to tell you this during the season, but marathons make you gain weight. Don't worry about it--it'll drop off, probably with more, in the next couple of weeks (provided you don't totally stuff your face and cease doing all activity).

Another great reason NOT to do a marathon. You guys have sold me. I guess my first marathon will be part of an IM.

From my limited experience (one of each) the half-mary wasn't that bad (might be fun if I could run well) and the HIM was awesome (even with an injury). But all this nastiness I've heard about the full with the dead toenails, bloating, pain, misery, etc. doesn't sound real enticing.

Well Iw as planning for a HIM this year and last year but I kept getting ill and then injuries so if it was just swim, bike Id slate one in but the running is turning into and issue (not that it wasnt already)

I think I will try and string together some consistent trainng injury and health issue free before I even think about racing again!

That sounds like the smart thing to do. I'm just itching to get healthy so I can race again. I've got goals, dammit!

It's a vicious circle, but NEVER give up! When you do get to do that long distance event, you'll be mentally prepared. If all these obstacles haven't stopped you, 70.3 or 140.6 miles sure won't.

Just remember -->

If you are not SUPER motivated this month.... you'll be Pat's slave AND wearing a wet white t-shirt NEXT month.

That ought to motivate ya.

I'd check his log, but with this s-l-o-w internet connection, it would be next week by the time it loads.

This connection is making me crazed. How can I pad my post count when it's like this?

Evenin' Nibbs....

Sorry I haven't been around so much... work is crazy... we're up to 3550 players and still under 100 ref's (but the apps are still coming in).

Now we're finally winding down enough to start worrying about our staff Holiday party - for us full-timers.  I'm thinkin' lots of alcohol!!!!!  Umm... and maybe some cheesecake.

Hi Beth

I appreciated the thought behind the inspire...unfortunately the SUCKOMETER was in full blast this afternoon.  Started off fine, had a good thing rolling along was helping out one of our newer nurses who isn't up to snuff...then the defecation  hit the ventillation...it went splat in case anyone wants to know what happens there

No, this is a collective effort.  I'm just cooking the Prime Rib and doing my share.  We're trying to figure out gag gift for boss.  Pasties came out a Freudian slip in a meeting yesterday and now we're thinking that that would make a GREAT gift.  He even mentioned in the e-mail confirmation no pasties as part of dress code, I think that should confirm it.

Hi Beth

I appreciated the thought behind the inspire...unfortunately the SUCKOMETER was in full blast this afternoon.  Started off fine, had a good thing rolling along was helping out one of our newer nurses who isn't up to snuff...then the defecation  hit the ventillation...it went splat in case anyone wants to know what happens there

not yet...the girl that told me about the job said when she applied they took a month to call her for an interview.  It's only been a couple of weeks.  She told me that they pulled the application so it's a matter of time before I get called for an interview.  I'm just burnt out and frustrated having to do some of the stuff we do. (like Sunday intubating an old lady from a nursing home with an obvious aspiration pneumonia, or today intubating an old dialysis pt with alzheimer's)

And on that note.... any responses from the resumés and apps?

Evenin' Nibbs....

Sorry I haven't been around so much... work is crazy... we're up to 3550 players and still under 100 ref's (but the apps are still coming in).

Now we're finally winding down enough to start worrying about our staff Holiday party - for us full-timers.  I'm thinkin' lots of alcohol!!!!!  Umm... and maybe some cheesecake.

Wow you are the party organiser too??? No wonder you are so busy!

No, this is a collective effort.  I'm just cooking the Prime Rib and doing my share.  We're trying to figure out gag gift for boss.  Pasties came out a Freudian slip in a meeting yesterday and now we're thinking that that would make a GREAT gift.  He even mentioned in the e-mail confirmation no pasties as part of dress code, I think that should confirm it.

hehe sounds fabulous!

Do you have your menu together yet or do ya still need help?  I know I said I would help and am running a little behind on that... just let me know and I soon will have more time.

if Dee had her way, Cat would be SWIMMING 24/7
