We divorced our cable company on October 1st and don't miss it at all. We have to consciously choose to watch tv now, and mostly we just stream Netflix. Powered anntennae bring us the main networks, 3 PBS channels, MeTV (my favorite station now), and some other channels.

That's what we did too until we moved last summer & it worked fine.  Our new house is in a little pocket where we get terrible reception for everything so we signed up with Dish.  It's fine, nothing to brag or complain about although I wish we didn't have to in the first place.
