Wow, you got a deal. We are over 125.... (course, we had to buy sperm each time we tried... )

Health insurance covered quite a bit more than I thought.  My wife was very aggressive at arguing with them.  Many times, insurance companies will automatically reject admissions.  Go ahead and submit again and sometimes they will accept it.  Lottery.

The tykes are being charged $25k each + interest from me.  Need to turn one of them into the next Tiger Woods for recovery.

 

They are beautiful!!! So worth any amount of money. Sadly, SC is not one of the states where insurance covers anything related to infertility.

(but yet high school girls can get wic and foodstamps and medicaid not for just baby #1, but #2, #3, #4....)

Now don't get me wrong... I understand that some people are giving it their all and a little help is needed and I'm not saying that shouldn't happen. But come on, if you are unable to provide for one, go on free birth control so that you don't have #2 and #3 and #4!!!

But I digress....hijack off...

Once again, your boys are beautiful!!!

No. No.  I'd say the trouble all happened pretty much afterwards.

We tried for about a year unsuccessfully, and were getting really stressed out about it. We were both in our mid-30's, so our insurance didn't necessarily cover a lot of the fertility treatments that were available. My wife had made every dietary change possible. She was taking prescriptions, and we were...um...trying a lot. But no luck.

In September of '03, we were about to go on vacation, and so we decided to just stop worrying about it and enjoy the trip. For 10 days, my wife went back to drinking coffee, we had wine every night with dinner, stopped in Baltimore on the way home and had the biggest oysters we'd ever eaten, and just had a great time on vacation.

When she got home, she was late, took a test, and said that she literally stared at the little blue "plus" sign for 10 minutes before she called me.
