Actually, I've got a question about protein powders. With all the problems caused by shady manufacturers adding melamine to boost the protein reading on their products (baby formula, pet food, etc...) is anybody checking the protein powders and other supplements?


That is a darn good question. I use so much of this stuff (2 servings per day on average). I've submitted that question via contact form to the Optimum Nutrition Gold company and will post back here if get a reply.

Got this attached letter from Optimum Nutrition regarding their source of milk proteins used in their whey powder...see image below. Basically, they say they don't use any stuff from China.

If and when I use it I just buy the protein powder from walmart. i use to be a protein powder snob and would only use the gnc brands now I could care less.(about the only time I use it is right after lifting weights)
