WelshinPhilly - 2010-02-01 1:22 PM Does "Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" count as a gangster movie? If so, that.

Or "Snatch".

they both are great, like i said in my first post i left off "newer style" gangster movies and went with classics....lock stock and snatch rule though.

That will teach me to actually read the posts and not just the poll choices.

On a related note... am I the only person who fails to see anything in "Scarface"? It's like a longer, very crappy episode of Miami Vice.

It must be something to do with taste. I'm not a Scareface fan either, but love Snatch and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

I liked them all. Maybe I just like gangster movies.

And for what it's worth, Pulp Fiction is one of my favourite movies.

Favorite... Godfather I and II.  Hands down.  Some of the best movies ever made.

But if I want a movie that feels more like a "real" mobster movie, it'll be Goodfellas and Casino.  They seem to be more like the real world.  Just a bunch of thugs who sometimes score but mostly are just thuggish and annoying.
