I dont blame the motorists for hating us (Page 2)

Yup, I pay my fair share to license 1 truck, 2 cars and 2 motorcycles. When I ride my bike on the road I am paying to use I do less damage than when I drive my truck. So why should I pay for the privilege of riding a bike on the road I already pay to use?

The only benefit that I could see of this (and I am not advocating it), is that you cold give tickets to the bikers that are linked to their car insurance. the threat of financial loss might make a lot of these lunatic riders think twice before blowing a red light or a stop sign. You could make bike licenses dirt cheap, too.

Interesting concept, but in reality, bikers are rarely pulled over now.  Why would that change, and therefore, again to my question, to what end?
