Speaking from personal experience, I like to wear a wet suit because I am a horrible swimmer! You'll be fine without one. As far as the bike, I am riding a Trek 1500 roadie with just some clip-ons; again you'll be fine. I am an average runner and still pass a lot more people than pass me so it sounds like you'll do fine there as well. My biggest suggestion would be to make sure you have the nutrition side of your race plan figured out so you will be able to take advantage of your running ability after getting off the bike. Get all that figured out and you'll probably place in your AG.

Dude you ain't going to be ridiculous. Did my first Oly and HIM in surfing shortie wetsuit, on mountain bike, in runing shoes, wearing boardshorts, carrying a backpack with spare tools nutrition and drink bladder.

I beat plenty of people, got great support from the crowd, and had a blast.

Be yourself and have a great time!

The bike will be just fine.  You have already done long distances on it so there is no reason that it won't be fine for the tri.

At my last tri, a gentleman was racked next to me with probably 5k in his bike.  Full rear disc, front aero wheel, multi thousand bike, aero helmet, the whole kit......   My bike is a mid grade Felt road bike that I got used for $500.  I don't even have aero bars on it.   We both got to transition at the same time.  Guess who beat him out of transition.  Guess who beat him on the bike?  He did pass me on the run though.

Of course that does not mean that having a tri bike would not be nice and is not faster but it is by no means required.

Since you have a great running background, likely you may pass many on the run that may have beat you on the bike.

I didn't wear my wetsuit at St. Anthony's this year. I was one of very few. No fears. You'll do great.. and you will be faster than quite a few who wear them too. Just make it pay off in transition. Have a fast transition, and you might gain a minute or so back that you might have lost not wearing a wetsuit.
