Dude, I was in Seattle a couple years ago in September. I saw more Red Sox hats than Mariners hats. Pretty cool actually.

I'm not a big baseball fan, but after leaving in MA for almost 8 years, I think I have to go with the Yankees... I just can't understand the Red Sox fans obsession with hating the Yanks. Hopefully now that Sox won the WS the fans can stop feeling inferior and cheer for the Sox achievements rather than for the Yanks failures...

What about how much the Yankees hate the Sox?? It goes both ways. And even after the WS I still smile when I see the Yankees slip down in the standings, I think it is just inborn or something

Marmadaddy - you're kidding!! Usually when someone says something about Somerville it is not very nice. Now I have to figure out how to PM you so we can see if our families know each other - how strange! Have you ever seen anything about the Big Man run in Somerville? I just saw it for the first time when I was looking at the race cal. on runnersworld.com. It looks like so much fun, but unfortunately for me no ladies allowed...

AMEN. i hate this bizarro sports world we are currently living in...Sox are in first place, Pats are good, Yanks suck, Giants suck, my Steelers always lose to the Pats...it's just not right.
